We want to help our community stay informed and safe.

There have been reports of scammers offering “free” medical supplies (such as urinary catheters) while trying to obtain your Medicare information.

Watch out for these warning signs:
• Unsolicited calls offering free medical equipment
• Requests asking for your Medicare number
• Receiving supplies you never ordered

What you should do:
• Hang up on suspicious or unexpected calls
• Never share your Medicare number unless you’re speaking directly with your provider’s office
• Refuse any deliveries you didn’t request
• Review your Explanation of Benefits for any unfamiliar charges

If something feels off, contact your healthcare provider or report it immediately.
