It was a fun Halloween season!!

I had the opportunity recently to see The Long Island Medium, Theresa Caputo, at a Casino. It was amazing to watch her do her thing in person. I appreciate her sense of humor, her stick to itivness with doubters, the meaningful way she gives messages. An important take away for me is that you don’t always hear the message you want, but spirit sometimes gives you the message that you need.

When I was first practicing mediumship, I tried to interpret what I was being shown. A coworker Identified who I was seeing as his grandfather. I saw him building a wall with bricks. He validated that he was a bricklayer! But then I tried to make some meaning of this, like, “your grandfather is saying your putting up some walls, some barriers, with others. Nope. He was honestly just a bricklayer and wanted his grandson to have that evidence that it was really him. A great lesson to learn.

Another teen was brought to me because she felt a dark presence in her room. She had a trauma history and was often depressed and anxious. During the reading, I was able to name a couple of her aunties, which helped validate the experience. He grandmother came through and let me know the teen has asthma and gave her guidance on dealing with it. Our ancestors and guides gave us guidance on ridding her space from the dark presence.
Since the reading, her counselor let me know she’s been taking care of herself better, the darkness is gone, she’s less depressed and anxious.

A teen was referred to me from a colleague because she was seeing spirits, including the spirit of her deceased grandfather. She had even felt spirit touching her hair and felt like they were always there watching her. When I did my reading, I felt the love this grandfather had for his intuitive granddaughter. He kept calling her his sweetie and seemed very loving. I taught her how to protect herself and to close down when she didn’t want to have the spirits communicating with her. I encouraged her to enlist her grandfather as a gatekeeper to let the spirits in one at a time when she was open to communicate. This practice helped her to rest better and reduce her anxiety. She was able to focus better on the present, on schoolwork and just being a teen.
