The Music Therapy Impact Fund

The Music Therapy Impact Fund The Music Therapy Impact Fund works to expand the local/global reach of music therapy to individuals who may not be able to receive these services.

Music therapy uses music to assist individuals to accomplish intellectual and developmental goals, to aid in neurologic rehabilitation, and to support the mind, body, and spiritual needs of the whole person. The Music Therapy Impact Fund works to expand the local and global reach of music therapy to individuals who may not otherwise be able to receive these services. Additionally, the Fund aims to provide community education about, and awareness of the benefits and efficacy of music therapy in health care and in overall development. On a global scale, The Fund is working towards developing programs that provide services to individuals and organizations in underprivileged countries. Grants are available to individuals, organizations, or businesses that desire to introduce music therapy programs or services to their clients/patients. Congratulations to ALL the amazing teams that performed at the 2025 Community Lip Sync Challenge! The team that raised the most money and is guaranteed a spot in 2026 is...ENLOE HOSPICE! Not only did they put on a stellar performance, they raised over $10,000 for music therapy programs in Chico and surrounding areas!! Incredible!

This event raised over $33,000 and $6,801.00 is being gifted back to the participating nonprofits!!

Y'all, we have a surprise contender! The Peg Taylor Center is joining the Lip Sync Challenge! Adding a team this close to the event is a bit unusual because it means that those of you who have already voted did not have the opportunity to consider supporting this team when you made your donations/purchased tickets. For that we are sorry, BUT we do think it's great that we'll get to spread the word about the PTC and what they bring to our community. We want them to have an opportunity to shine on stage with the other amazing nonprofits on Saturday.

They've all been working hard, building community, and tapping into their unique creativities to put together outstanding performances to raise money for local nonprofits!
