Happy New Year! I wanted to give a shout out to a well-trained and compassionate Massage Therapist, Maddi Johnson! I encourage you to meet her and experience her work. If you are seeking a Massage Therapist trained in Oncology Massage, I am working on finding referrals for you. In the meantime, I believe Physical Therapists in town may be a good source to ask. Clients have been commenting on the dreary weather. It HAS lasted longer than usual but it has highlighted one of my favorite things in my massage therapy career. I love making my table cozy and warm especially when they've come in from the cold. Saying goodbye to this career has been a tough decision but I'm grateful to have had 30+ years to do this work. A big thank you to all of my clients who supported my gift basket raffle for the Susan G Komen 60-mile 3-day Walk! It helped raise crucial funds for research. Here are some photos from the weekend. After 34 years doing massage therapy, I am closing my practice this December. This is a bittersweet move as I will greatly miss all of my wonderful clients I have had the privilege to know over the years. You all have brought so much goodness to my life. Love my clients, love my work, and love the smiles they give me when I confirm their appointments. Grateful to have found a 'feel good' profession to balance life that sometimes doesn't feel that good. When life hurts, I encourage you to find activities that soothe your soul: time with friends you can really talk to, a meaningful job (volunteer or otherwise) that makes a difference, healing bodywork, counseling, time in nature, spiritual growth, etc. Also, finding joy and gratitude in the simple things (like texts that make you smile). Peace to you!

My Background

I am a California State Certified Massage Therapist with 28 years of experience. I am trained in many modalities including: Swedish, Oncology, Prenatal, Infant Massage, Reflexology and Acupressure. In 2017 I completed a 300-hour certification in Oncology Massage through Massage Institute in Davis and earned a Manual Lymph Drainage Certificate through KLOSE in order to provide safe and comprehensive touch therapy for those affected by cancer. I am also an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, Health Mentor, and have a B.A. Degree in Physical Education from Chico State. I absolutely love my work, helping people bring peace and comfort into their bodies and their lives.
