We held off on the obituary as long as possible because it was just so heart-wrenching... Herbal information specialist, Jonathan Evans has passed away Wednesday.

Last night at 9:45pm, Jonathan let go and passed away peacefully.
Today, there is a gaping hole in the lives and hearts of everyone who knew him, but he is no longer in pain and went on his own terms.

Thank you to everyone who has prayed or sent Reiki, those who managed to visit him in the last chaotic days, and to every bit of love sent to the family. Announcements for future services will be posted here and in the newspapers.

Thank you all for your prayers and wishes. However it is now evident that the damage is too great and irreversible. All we ask for him now is a peaceful passing.
Thank you all, I have been relaying your words and love to Kathy and the rest of our family.

The swelling started sooner than anticipated and the doctor is concerned.
Please direct all energy work, Reiki, prayers, and other good vibes towards reducing the brain swelling and/or making sure the medication works perfectly. We have seen Reiki do miraculous things and can definitely use a miracle now.

Small but positive update: They lowered Jons sedation levels to see how he would respond (still on a ventilator) and the results are promising. He was able to open his eyes, look around, and give a thumbs up on command. Tomorrow they are reducing the sedation further and Kathy will visit him then. My husband & I are going again on Thursday.

Hello friends, the news is not good. His doctors did not sugarcoat things, and neither will we.
Jonathan has had a massive stroke to the right hemisphere, his entire left side is affected and the clot could not be removed. It is currently taking up almost all of the carotid artery, making him impossible to transport at the moment. There is extensive damage to the brain tissue, estimated 40%... and there is the danger of swelling within the next 3-5 days. We pray that it can be controlled with medication and Reiki and prayers.
