Independence Day is THIS Friday- July 4th!

Please be sure to call now to refill your pets anxiety medication- do NOT wait until the last minute!

The safest thing to do is keep your pets inside, as far away from fireworks as possible. Keep in mind that the noise from fireworks travels and can still be heard from quite a distance. If your pet suffers from firework anxiety, please keep them indoors, ideally away from doors and windows. Provide soothing sounds using a radio or TV. Make sure that they have plenty of their favorite things to occupy them. And most importantly, because accidents DO still happen, be sure your pet is wearing his/her proper identification (collar/tags/etc.). July 4th ranks with one of the highest rates of pet reported missing. Pets will run off when frightened.

Good morning!

During the past week, our colleagues at North Fork Animal Clinic suffered damages related to a fire.

We have been receiving many calls regarding your furry family members and their needs. Our staff here at Chillicothe Animal Clinic is working hard behind the scenes to try and help as many of you as possible as they try to get back up and running.

Please be patient with us as we all navigate through this tragedy. We are working hard to help take care of everyone without displacing our current clients and patients, while still offering the highest quality of care to suit every patient’s needs.

ATTENTION CLIENTS:

If you have an appointment today, please be careful. We have had a significant amount of rainfall 🌧️ in a short period of time, and with the ground already saturated, there’s a lot of flooding in low-lying areas. Should you happen to be on your way to the clinic for an appointment, and you encounter an area of flooding, please do not drive further and take a chance. We will gladly reschedule your appointment to ensure the safety of yourself and your beloved pets. Please allow yourself extra travel time, and use extra precautions when driving. Hey there! We are looking to expand our team and hire another full-time, registered veterinary technician! We are a very busy, privately-owned practice located on the outskirts of Chillicothe, Ohio! We are a small animal exclusive, 3 doctor practice, and our team takes pride in offering a high-quality wellness, preventative, and general surgical care to each and every patient we treat.

Qualifications include:

o Proficiency with computers and/or experience learning new software
o Strong understanding of medical terminology and basic animal anatomy

Please use caution when out driving this morning. There are some icy roadways. If you are coming in for an appointment this morning, please leave early and allow yourself plenty of time to arrive safely and on time. And please be cautious as our parking lot is slick as well. Happy Saturday!

Good morning!

❄️☃️ Ross County is still on a LEVEL 3️⃣ snow emergency. At this time, we will plan to be open our regular business hours from 8-5. Please call the clinic ahead of time regarding any appointments. We will be working hard to reschedule any appointments missed due to the winter storm as soon as possible. ☃️❄️

Remember- if you must be out, please exercise extreme caution. Roadways are still ice 🧊 and snow ❄️ covered.

Unfortunately, due to the worsening weather conditions,and the inability for our staff to safely make it to the clinic, we will be CLOSED for the day. We will not be seeing any appointments today, so we will reschedule you as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience, but the safety of everyone is of the utmost importance. This includes medication pick ups, etc. Again, we will not be doing any appointments today or be available for medication pick ups.
