Calm used to feel like something I visited.

A good session there.
A brief sense of relief before life rushed back in.

I thought those moments meant healing was working
and when they didn’t last, I assumed something was wrong.

What I understand now is this:
calm doesn’t stick through effort.
It sticks through integration.

When the body learns that safety isn’t temporary,
everything starts to change.
You still feel emotions.
Life still happens.
But your system recovers faster,
responds instead of reacts,
and stops bracing for impact all the time.

This isn’t about becoming someone new.
It’s about coming home to yourself > slowly, honestly, consistently.
If this distinction feels important,
trust that.

Most women think readiness comes first.
That once they’re calmer, clearer, or more grounded,
then they’re allowed to receive support.

But the body doesn’t wait for readiness.
It learns safety by being met where it already is.

This is why waiting to feel “ready” can quietly keep you stuck.
Not because you’re avoiding the work
but because your system is tired of doing it alone.

Support isn’t a reward for getting it right.
It’s the condition that allows the nervous system to soften.

You don’t arrive regulated.
You arrive human.
And recalibration happens from there.

When I look back, I can see how hard I was trying to hold everything together.
I thought being responsible meant having a plan, an answer, a next step.

What I didn’t understand yet was how much my body needed to feel held first.
Meeting with a health coach during that season changed me
not because she gave me new information, but because she gave me space.

Space to soften.
Space to listen.
Space to recognise what I actually needed for myself.

That experience shaped everything about how I approach this work now.
Support isn’t something you earn once you’re ready.

It’s often what allows readiness to emerge.
