Today, Canyon Ridge proudly celebrates the strength, resilience and achievements of women everywhere. We also recognize the incredible women who lead, mentor and inspire within Canyon Ridge.

International Women’s Day is a time to honor progress and reflect on the work that remains, especially in mental health. This year, we aim to normalize conversations about anxiety, burnout, depression and emotional well‑being. We want to help create spaces where women feel comfortable seeking support when they need it.

Today we celebrate your achievements, recognize your contributions, support your well‑being and stand with you now and always. 💙

This February, we’re celebrating Recreation Therapy Month and recognizing the Recreation Therapists who play an important role in the healing process. In psychiatric care, healing is more than medication or clinical stabilization. It’s found in moments where a patient reconnects with themselves, regains a sense of control and remembers what it feels like to engage with the world again. Recreation Therapists help create those moments every day.

Through therapeutic art, movement, music, leisure education, coping skills development and structured social activities, Recreation Therapists support cognitive functioning, emotional regulation and confidence. They help restore dignity when illness disrupts identity, create structure when life feels overwhelming and offer connection when someone feels alone.

Recreation Therapists are trained professionals who assess functional abilities, develop individualized treatment plans and deliver interventions that strengthen emotional well‑being, social functioning and quality of life. Their work supports clinical goals, enhances interdisciplinary care and helps prepare patients for reintegration into their communities.

Please join us in celebrating Recreation Therapy Month and honoring the professionals who bring hope, connection and creativity to the healing process. 💙
