I took this photo on my 34th birthday. I was on a day-long road trip to see as many of my favorite people as possible. At that time, we’d already been running a muck, engaging in shenanigans and wandering aimlessly about life, blissfully unaware together for over a decade. And we were GOOD at it. Until we both reached a point where the old coping mechanisms, toxicity and repeated patterns we found ourselves in didn’t seem to fit the energy of who we wanted to become.

This photo represents the beginning of something better, for both of us. Ever since, we’ve poured into ourselves, learning everything we can about why we are the way we are, how we can heal ourselves, what we can do to improve our lives and live them by our own design.
