Yesterday, Chippewa Manor hosted its 17th Annual Veterans Salute. Veterans from around the community, Chippewa Manor employees, and Chippewa Manor residents were honored for their service. Guest speaker, Teresa Barta who is a Patriot member of the K-9's of Wisconsin talked about their service dog, Scarlet, who also made an appearance. Scarlet is a fully trained service dog for Veterans with PTSD. Jason Heiss, the Mayor of Chippewa Falls, also spoke and honored our Veterans. The Patriotic Council gave a 21-gun salute and there was a "Missing Man" fly over. All in all, it was another year of a delicious breakfast for our Veterans and their guests and a beautiful and humbling ceremony. God bless our Veterans.
