Let's talk about grab bars.
Not because it's exciting. Because it saves lives.
Researchers at the University of Toronto found that people with a grab bar were 75% more likely to recover their balance during a slip than those without one.
75%.
And yet the CDC found that only 19% of American homes have grab bars installed.
Here's what to look for:
✅ Stainless steel or chrome — rated for at least 250 lbs
✅ Wall-mounted into studs, not drywall anchors
✅ One inside the tub/shower, one next to the toilet
✅ Skip suction cup models — they fail under load
A correctly installed $30 grab bar can prevent a $30,000 hip surgery.
