Fall fun is in full swing at Ecumen Point Pleasant Heights!

Our residents spent the afternoon getting creative with the help of three wonderful community volunteers who brought all the supplies — and, of course, the pumpkins! Everyone had such a great time decorating them to display by our doors.

We had a special performance by our own resident, Betty! She played for our birthday celebration. For almost an hour we sang all the favorite hymns and enjoyed a delicious chocolate dessert and coffee! She sure played beautifully! Thank you, Betty!

The Good Neighbor Club of Chisago Lakes, along with several of our residents, hosted a delightful Halloween Witches Tea!

It was such a fun and festive event—complete with fancy tea cakes and treats, a variety of delicious teas, and beautiful teacups. Everyone brought their favorite teacup and shared a short story about where it came from.

It was a wonderful way to kick off the fall season, and we were thrilled with the great turnout. We truly have an amazing group of residents here at Ecumen Point Pleasant Heights!

One small act of kindness can truly make someone’s day. Today, Cliff noticed that Shirley had a new power scooter and thoughtfully gave her a cup holder for it — a simple but very convenient addition to her new ride. Shirley was delighted to receive such a useful accessory and was all smiles before lunch!

We couldn’t let the day go by without celebrating the incredible leadership and heart Mara brings to Ecumen Point Pleasant Heights. From the big-picture vision to the smallest thoughtful details, she leads with care, dedication, and a whole lot of joy.

Oktoberfest was a blast!

We welcomed 80 guests for a festive afternoon filled with live music, beer, apple cider, schnitzel, and spaetzle! The celebration was full of laughter, lively toasts, a stein-holding contest, some impressive yodeling, and a cheerful sing-along to end the day.

A huge thank you to our incredible Dietary Team for preparing a delicious lunch and putting so much effort into this exceptional meal.

Raise a stein and give a cheer — for bratwurst, friends, and midday beer!

Our team members are more than just coworkers—they look out for each other. Yesterday, when Cliff's golf cart battery died down at the boat launch, Ed came to the rescue and towed him back to his garage to recharge.

A trip to the apple orchard is always a treat in September—homemade apple goodies, fresh-picked apples, and cold cider… yum!

We had a great time on Tuesday spending the afternoon out at the orchard.

We celebrated our September birthdays today with live music from Mary Hall, featuring songs by The Beatles and The Eagles. It was a fun walk down memory lane, with many familiar hits and the lemon cake was absolutely delicious!

Our residents set sail on an 80-minute paddleboat excursion in beautiful Taylors Falls, and what a day it was!

With cool breezes, warm sunshine, and plenty of smiles, they cruised along the river while learning all about the fascinating history of the Dells and the stunning rock formations carved by time.

Nature, history, and great company — what more could you ask for?

A big thank you to Marlene for leading such a fun and creative craft session! The group had a great time and enjoyed a delicious Jello dessert with a crushed pretzel crust to top it off.

Mark your calendars! Marlene will be back in early October for her next class, where you'll get to make your own homemade greeting cards. You won’t want to miss it!

Our residents of Ecumen Point Pleasant Heights hit the road and headed to Target Field to cheer on the Minnesota Twins! From the crack of the bat to the roar of the crowd, it was a day full of fun, excitement, and timeless team spirit.
