Lets talk about a "natural" substance/supplement: Kratom
Kratom is becoming easier to find—including in places you might not expect, like local smoke shops. While it’s often marketed as a “natural” product, that doesn’t mean it’s safe.
Kratom can act like a stimulant at low doses and an opioid at higher doses, which means it carries real risks. These can include:
• Dependence and withdrawal symptoms
• Nausea, dizziness, and increased heart rate
• Anxiety, irritability, or mood changes
• Dangerous interactions with medications
• In severe cases, breathing problems or overdose
Because kratom products are not well regulated, their strength and purity can vary widely. This makes it difficult to know exactly what you’re taking—or how it may affect you.
If you or someone you care about is using kratom and experiencing negative effects, you’re not alone, and support is available. Our clinic is here to provide judgment-free guidance, education, and care.
