2025 Foaling season is FINALLY a wrap. Baby 15 arrived without incident at 5:30 tonight. Her dam , Streakin French Bell welcomed a beautiful Palomino filly by Chasin Chix (Chasin Firewater)

Foaling season is not without heartache and we unfortunately lost our 5th baby … a handsome palomino horse c**t out of our 6 year old Royal Quik Frenchman x Playgun mare and lost the mare 12 hours later 😢. That loss made baby #6 more special. An elegant palomino filly by Royal Quik Frenchman out of a proven performance and ranch mare. She is pictured here at 2 weeks old. She will gray.

It’s time to get caught up on foals that have arrived here at RQF Performance Horses. The two oldest arrived just short of a month ago and seem to be thriving. They both belong to clients and are both available . Thought was fitting to share on Tys actual bday today💙

Do you really trust? Or do you trust when it’s convenient?

2019… that was the year I won my first go round at the NFR, which had obviously been a goal since I first made it in 2016. It took the 4th year to finally get that accomplished. I’ll never forget that moment and how it felt. Most of the time we only see what’s right in front of us and we want things now, but Gods timing is impeccable and perfect. We may not ‘feel’ that or see it that way but if we can just have the faith as small as a mustard seed, we can start to trust and be comforted by what lies further ahead in life.
He’s got our back and he truly wants what’s best for us.
That year, 2019, I won my first go round on Tys birthday, and that year, just days before we unexpectedly lost a loved one. It was an extremely tough time, but God brought us a little joy amidst our struggles and pain. He knew we needed that all along. He knows what we need and exactly when we need it.
Not only did I win my first go round, I ran the fastest time of the finals that year. That was a dream come true. I wanted so badly to have that saddle at some point in my life. I will forever be grateful to these horses who have made this possible.
We may have felt like we didn’t have ‘the team’ or the same horse year after year, God kept saying, trust me. While at times I was in tears not knowing what was next, he showed me I just needed to be willing to take the next step, one little step, not know or see the whole picture.

So, Trust… I challenge you to trust at a much deeper level than just what you feel or see currently. Or even based on past experience, we’ve all hurt and experience pain, and I am sure we have all lost our faith at some point. But we can be encouraged that God is the same and never changes, we have to choose to continue to trust that He will come through the next time… and the next time after that, because He will, he always does.
I feel the need to share these stories from time to time in hopes to encourage just someone 🩷

If there's anything we've been reminded by watching the top 15 barrel racers at the NFR this week...it's that God gave us horses.

They're here to pick up the pieces when life is hard, they're here to pull us out of the dark places the devil wants us to live in. Horses bring us into the light, give us joy and hope even in the toughest moments and ultimately can give us what we need to get that much closer to God.

Even the top 15 in the world have been more vulnerable than ever this year and let us know how their horses have helped keep them locked in on their goals, kept their faith strong and helped them survive the impossible. So go outside and hug your horse, and remember why we all started in the sport of barrel racing.
