Christiansburg Comprehensive Treatment Center

Christiansburg Comprehensive Treatment Center We provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT), which is an evidence-based approach that incorporates prescription medication and counseling.

Christiansburg Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) provides outpatient medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for adults age 18 and older of all genders who have been struggling with addictions to he**in, prescription painkillers, and other opioids. Located in Christiansburg, Virginia, Christiansburg Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) offers personalized opioid addiction treatment in a safe and welcoming outpatient environment. Patients who take part in MAT at our center may receive a prescription for methadone or buprenorphine. These medications can ease opioid withdrawal symptoms, which allows adults to end their opioid use without experiencing the intense distress that would otherwise occur. In addition to taking methadone or buprenorphine, Christiansburg CTC patients also participate in individual and group counseling sessions. The counseling component of MAT at our opioid addiction treatment center helps patients make the lifestyle changes that will empower them to resist relapse and achieve long-term recovery. With the help of our team of dedicated and compassionate professionals, patients who receive care at Christiansburg CTC can make sustained progress toward improved health and lifelong recovery from opioid addiction.

Naloxone is a life-saving medication that can quickly reverse an opioid overdose by restoring normal breathing.

It works by blocking the effects of opioids in the brain—but it has no impact on someone without opioids in their system and is not a treatment for opioid use disorder.
