Babies are not lazy eaters.

They are biologically wired to eat and grow.

When a baby struggles at the breast or bottle, it’s not a character flaw—it’s communication.

Newborn sleepiness, latch issues, oral tension, milk flow, or other underlying factors can all affect feeding. When we use negative labels like “lazy,” it increases the chance we stop looking deeper—and miss what baby is trying to tell us.
If feeding feels hard, that doesn’t mean your baby is lazy.
It means they might need support—and so might you. 💛

I know I’ve posted a lot lately, but Bear with me.
Nearly 10 years ago I decided I wanted to help women learn how to feed their babies. My goal was to be a nonjudgmental lactation consultant who could sit with mothers in their most vulnerable time, and help them meet their goals.
Then I looked into it. And realized becoming a lactation consultant is HARD. There are a lot of requirements and it takes a long time to get there. So I put it off until 5 years ago.

After so many years of hard work, nearly giving up, and enduring, I did it. I am an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant.
