When breastfeeding is an option for mothers and babies, there can be many benefits.

Breast milk helps babies fight infections, reduce allergies, lower their risk of obesity and diabetes, and can even lower the mother’s risk for breast and ovarian cancer. SCF offers support and education on a variety of infant-feeding methods to help families make informed, confident choices.

Visit Maternal Childhood Health - Southcentral Foundation to learn more about the resources available to breastfeeding parents.
