Why do some kids struggle every spring while others barely notice allergy season?

Most families assume it’s just about pollen.
But the way a child’s body responds to environmental triggers is heavily influenced by the nervous system.

The nervous system helps regulate immune responses, inflammation, airway tone, and mucus production. When kids are already under more stress, seasonal allergens can feel much bigger.

That’s why some children deal with constant congestion, sniffles, and restless sleep every spring while others seem relatively unaffected.

At Clear Chiropractic, we focus on supporting nervous system regulation so the body can better adapt to the stressors it encounters, including seasonal ones.

If your child struggles with allergies, congestion, or constant sniffles every spring, send us a message and we can help you explore whether this type of support could help.

This scan is measuring heart rate variability.

Heart rate variability gives us insight into how well your nervous system is adapting to stress, and that matters in pregnancy because your body is doing ALOT.

This is one of the 3 scans we use in our office to look at how your system is functioning more deeply, not just how you’re feeling on the surface.

It also helps us make care more specific to you.

Because two pregnant women can both be dealing with tension, discomfort, poor sleep, or feeling overwhelmed, but their bodies may not be handling that load the same way.

That’s why we assess first, and how we better support each and every mama 💖

Every person experiences the world differently. And for many autistic individuals, that world can feel loud, overwhelming, and really misunderstood at times

We see the hard parts too.The sensory overload. The big emotions. The moments where communication feels frustrating on both sides.

But we also see what doesn’t get talked about enough. The creativity. The honesty. The way these kids and adults notice and experience things in a way most of us don’t.

That matters.

Our role isn’t to change who someone is.It’s to support their nervous system so their body can feel safer, calmer, and more connected.

When the body starts to feel safe, things begin to feel a little easier.

To the families navigating this every day,we see you.we respect you.it’s truly an honor to walk alongside you 💜

We always include postpartum support in our pregnancy care plans. 🤱🏻

Because birth isn’t the end of the transition. Your nervous system has spent months adapting to pregnancy, and after birth it has to adapt again while your body heals, sleep changes, and you adjust to caring for a newborn.

Postpartum recovery isn’t just physical. It’s neurological.
Supporting mom’s nervous system during this time can help with physical recovery, tension from feeding and holding baby, and overall regulation.

And because babies regulate through connection, when mom’s nervous system feels more supported, it often helps baby settle and adapt too. That’s the co-regulation piece we talk about so much.

Postpartum support isn’t an afterthought. It’s part of the process 🫶🏽💜

These boys came in with a lot going on. Anxiety, behavioral challenges, dysregulation, and delays including sp*ech and development.

Over the course of care in our office we saw some really sweet changes, including improved sp*ech for both boys. 💜

The work we do is gentle and focused on helping support the brain-body connection, which is why we so often see changes show up in regulation, function, and day to day life.

If your child is struggling with sp*ech delays, sensory challenges, behavior, or anxiety, a healthy nervous system is a great place to start. Reach out to us to see how we can help!

You may have been told a helmet is the only option for your baby’s flat spot.
But the real question is: why did the flat spot develop in the first place? 🤔

In many babies, plagiocephaly isn’t just about positioning. It’s a sign the nervous system is under stress and the neck can’t move freely in both directions, often starting during pregnancy or birth.

Helmets reshape the outside.
We focus on restoring movement and easing tension at the neurological level so the body can do what it’s designed to do.

If your baby feels stiff, favors one side, or has a flat spot that isn’t improving, you’re not overthinking it.

If you’re watching this and thinking, “Okay, but my child would never sit for that…” you’re not alone.

This little guy is really comfortable with scans now, but it didn’t start out that way.

Over time, by not rushing him, letting him warm up, and going at his pace, he’s built so much more comfort with the process 🙌🏽

That’s one of the biggest things we want families to know: we meet kids where they are, and build from there.

If you have questions about INSIGHT nervous system scans for your little on, send us a DM!
