Our Story

Dermatology Institute is a comprehensive medical practice run by 2 board certified dermatologist. We have over 12 different lasers to meet different patient needs, and offer skilled cosmetic and surgical services (including MOHs surgery for skin cancer) in San Diego, CA. Dr. Peter Rullan (father), Dr. Jennifer Rullan (daughter), and Dr. Megan Brown are all Diplomates of the American Board of Dermatology (board certified). They offer high-quality skin care services using the most advanced techniques and state-of-the-art technology -- without sacrificing care for patients. We have a vision of uncompromising excellence in dermatology. Our goal as healthcare providers is to educate and assist patients about medical issues, persciption medications, or using the right type of skin care products. We educate patients about skin care products. We aren't cosmetic counters at department stores, but rather trusted skin care experts here to help and serve people. Makeup Consult ( 30 min) $25 ( goes toward makeup purchase) PREPARING FOR YOUR VISIT: 1) cosmetic consults have a $50 nonrefundable feel that does not go toward any procedure that day. The consult includes a picture taken by VISIA camera which is a complexion analysis report giving comparative percentile scores for your age group of your spots, wrinkles, texture, pores, UV spots, and porphyrins. 2) new patients should arrive about 30 minutes early to fill out paperwork 3) Parking is metered so please remember to bring enough change for the meters and please allow yourself enough time for your appointment. We recommend putting in 2 hours of time just in case. There are parking meters on the street and 2 different lots diagonal to the building. On Landis Ave. between Davidson & E St the cost is $0.50 per hour (accepts credit cards). Street parking is $0.50 per hour (does NOT accept credit cards). The most affordable parking lot is on Landis between Davidson and 4th which only costs $0.25 per hour (accepts credit cards). We recommend putting in at least 2 hours on the meters. Metered parking lots accept change and credit cards.
