Remembering and honoring our military, we were honored to welcome special guest Ret. Navy Chief Joe Pisano . We had the opportunity to send letters to “America” to be opened in 50 years, but also enjoyed viewing amazing artwork created entirely with nails!

We are delighted to celebrate Mother’s Day with an exquisite array of offerings, seafood buffet, decadent desserts, and roses for all the ladies. Our staff were poised with welcoming smiles throughout.

Mental Health Awareness initiatives are currently underway, and we are delighted that our staff have had the opportunity to participate in a wellness break featuring pet therapy. Our team members thoroughly enjoyed interacting with the adorable farm animals. Such meaningful moments allow us to pause and appreciate the present. We extend our sincere gratitude to Israel from 1Heart Caregiver Services for organizing this exceptional event for our staff's benefit.

Fredericka Manor Hosts Vibrant May Day Celebrations! On a lovely Friday afternoon, residents, families, and staff gathered to unveil our newly established Meditation Garden, designed to bring serenity and harmony to all who enter. We are also showcasing artistic talents and the beauty of nature through our residents' impressive art pieces and thriving community garden, featuring an array of produce. The festivities commenced with a melodious performance by our community choir, filling the air with delightful springtime tunes.

Community Adventure Alert!
Fredericka Manor residents had a fantastic time visiting the Chicano Park Museum, and Cultural Center. They explore the vibrant arts exhibition and took in the stunning murals that tell the rich stories of the Chicano culture and heritage.
To top off the day, we enjoyed a delicious lunch at Maggie‘s café where the flavors were as colorful as the art we saw!
We can’t wait for our next adventure!

Ending the month of March! Fredericka Manor residents took the ferry to Coronado Island for a delightful afternoon of lunch and shopping!

Our Dining Room Department hosted an epic tailgate party to celebrate the start of the baseball season. They served up nacho cheese, cracker jacks, hotdogs, hamburgers, and refreshing beers.

We also honored incredible contributions of women throughout history with a special event featuring a guest speaker who shared inspiring stories and insight. It was a powerful reminder of the achievements and challenges, faced by women and how we can continue to support and uplift each other.

Sharing of the Green on St. Patrick's Day: A Putting Contest at Fredericka Manor. Residents were invited to challenge members of the Philanthropy Committee and Front Porch Communities Foundation officers to a round of miniature golf. Participants try their luck putting around leprechauns, snakes, pots of gold, shoes and other St. Patrick's Day related items. The amazing course was designed and built by our very own residents! The day ended with an Irish Meal and Irish Dancers. O' what a fun day!

We had a great time whale watching this week! We did not spot any whales, but we did see dolphins, sea lions, a submarine, beautiful scenery and lots of smiling faces!

Fredericka Manor residents truly enjoyed an unforgettable afternoon, watching the heartfelt film “Familiar Touch”. It was even more special, knowing it was filmed at our sister community.  Of course, no movie matinee is complete without popcorn and our favorite beverages.
