Big news from the 183 base!🚁

We are excited to announce that our base has officially transitioned from a 12-hour operation to 24/7 coverage starting today. This change allows our flight nurses, paramedics, and pilots to provide life-saving care to our community and surrounding areas around the clock. We are honored to serve this community and grateful for the trust you place in us every day!

Big things are happening here in Waycross!

One of our newest Flight Nurses, Raanan, earned her wings with her first patient flight yesterday. This was also the first flight for Moe, our newest pilot, since transferring to our base.

Congratulations to Raanan and Moe! We’re so excited to have you guys on board at 183!

Our flight nurse, Will, was invited to come speak to his daughter’s Kindergarten class at Tiftarea Academy to help educate them about Community Helpers. The kids were super excited to learn about nursing and the world of flight medicine. They were especially surprised to get to see the aircraft in person!

Thanks so much to Corey with Tift County Fire for coming out to help secure the LZ.

And a HUGE thank you to AEL 142’s crew, Jonathan, Brandon, and David, for bringing in the aircraft and helping talk to the kids.
