We want to wish Mrs. Shirley Coffey a very Happy 80th Birthday!! 💙💛🥳🎈

Shirley has been with Johnson-Arrowood for 43 years and during that time she has helped guide so many families through some of their darkest days. Over the years, she has seen many changes, made countless friends, and said goodbye to several along the way. She has been a true cornerstone of our funeral home, always taking special care of the families we serve, as well as her coworkers and dear friends and her precious family.

Shirley, we love you! We hope you have a wonderful and blessed day, and we thank you for all that you do. 💙

Planning ahead is important, but who you are entrusting your loved ones’ care to is a topic that’s often overlooked—and the right choice can bring your family comfort when it matters most. 💙💛

Preneed planning is a deeply personal decision—one that most people don’t take lightly. For some, it’s simply a matter of planning ahead. For others, it can be difficult to even start the conversation. And talking about these things can feel even harder when it’s with someone you don’t know. . . That’s why trust matters.

Many of you already know Pastor James Adams. A Church Hill native, he, with his loving wife Mrs. Connie Adams by his side, has faithfully served in the ministry throughout East Tennessee for more than 40 years—walking alongside families during their spiritual journey through this life, as well as in the most difficult times of loss. He also spent 19 years as a bus driver for Hawkins County Schools. James has been part of the Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home family for over 10 years and has served as a licensed preneed agent with us for many years. With a heart for ministry and a love for serving others, he has become a familiar and trusted presence in our community.

We are honored to have him helping guide families through the pre-planning process with compassion and care. He is here to walk alongside you—answering questions, listening to your wishes, and helping you plan with comfort and peace of mind.

📞 Give us a call at 423-357-4113 or send us a message to set up a time to meet with James. You can also call anytime to request a FREE planning guide that will help you make sure your wishes and important information is documented.

We would like to wish Brian, Jason, and HL a very Happy National Funeral Directors Day, and we also take this moment in special remembrance of our dear friend, Hunter Lane. His kindness and commitment to our families and their loved ones, and his love for this work—which was truly his calling in this life—will never be forgotten. 💛💙 12/12/2023

Although now retired, H.L.’s many years of dedicated service to our community are remembered by the countless families he served and cared for over the years.

Being a funeral director is more than just a job to them—it is a calling. Day after day, they strive to treat every family we serve like their own. During some of life’s most difficult moments, Brian and Jason serve with compassion, dignity, and genuine care. Making sure every family and every loved one entrusted to us is treated with the utmost respect is something that is deeply personal to all of us.

Thank you, Brian and Jason, for the dedication and heart you put into serving our community. 💙💛 and Thank you to our fellow directors all around our communities.
