Celebrating Three Years of Service



Dear Friends, Supporters, and Beloved Elders,

This month marks the third anniversary of Errands and Extras for Elders, LLC, and I am writing this letter with a full heart and deep gratitude. Three years ago, I set out with a simple mission: to serve and support the elders in our community with compassion, dignity, and unwavering respect. What I have received in return is far more than I ever imagined.

Serving the elders of our community has been the most profound, touching, and meaningful experience of my life. Over these past three years, I have had the privilege of standing beside so many—through ordinary days and extraordinary ones. I’ve helped navigate complex medical systems, filled out forms that felt overwhelming, and provided rides to crucial appointments. I’ve been a presence in moments of quiet companionship and in the sacred, tender space of life’s end. I’ve witnessed wisdom, resilience, grief, laughter, and deep, quiet strength.

I have met elders who have been forgotten by the world, labeled unfairly, or misunderstood. Yet in each one, I have seen brilliance, intention, and grace. I have learned more from these beautiful, wise souls than I could ever put into words. They have taught me the true meaning of community, patience, and love.

To the elders of our community: Thank you. Thank you for allowing me into your homes and lives. Thank you for your trust, your stories, and your lessons. Thank you for showing me how to serve with humility and heart.

To our supporters, families, and neighbors: thank you for believing in this mission. Thank you for seeing the value in our elders, for recognizing their continued need for care, respect, and connection.

As we step into this next year, I reaffirm my commitment to serve with the same dedication and love that has brought us this far. Let us continue to honor our elders, to listen deeply, and to act with kindness.

So very sad and so true!

Extremely difficult for families to live through such a difficult tragedy

This is why we grieve twice. "Ambiguous loss is a type of grief that occurs when someone experiences a profound sense of loss without closure or a clear understanding of what happened. It can involve the loss of an emotional connection or a physical presence."

Remembering a very kind hearted individual who touched so many lives with his child-like innocence.

Such a polite, caring, gentle soul with a love for animals and the outdoors.

A devoted husband for 50 years, a blessed second relationship with fiancé Kim, a friend to his neighbors ( the barn people) and his deepened faith with our Lord and closer relationship with his Church whom sought out Erranda and Extras For Elders to assist in his time of need.

What an honor to have served in his care.

Even though a year has passed , you are still deeply missed and will always be in our hearts.
