I get asked a lot about what ABA is and how does it help.
ABA therapy focuses on improving specific behaviors and skills. This includes social skills, communication, and self care skills.
At a very high level, this is how the process works:
- An ABA therapist identifies a needed skill.
- As the child engages in the desired skill or appropriate behavior they gain access to reinforcing items.
- Over time, this reinforcement encourages the child to continue engaging in the targeted skills.
Next Phase has recently started offering ABA services in the Cibolo, Schertz, San Antonio, Texas area through in-home and telehealth services, and we are accepting new clients that have the one of the following insurances currently: Tricare and Medicaid.
