Deeply Rooted Yoga- What it is all about.

Hi,

I’m Angie, the owner and instructor at Deeply Rooted Yoga. A home studio teaching gentle and hatha yoga. Deeply Rooted Yoga also offers private one-on-one sessions for those who enjoy a more concentrated yoga sequence geared towards their needs and abilities. All of my teaching is done through a Christian perspective eliminating any Eastern philosophy often taught in yoga studios.

WHAT MY YOGA CLASSES LOOK LIKE...

Each 60 minute Gentle Yoga class begins with a scripture verse and breath work before moving into a practice that is geared to the student’s disabilities or medical conditions.

Hatha classes are 75 minutes long and begin with a scripture verse, prayer, and silent meditation. Each hatha class has a prime focus, such as Core, Spine, Hips, or Shoulders. Once the students are led through a series of warm up poses, the majority of poses focus on the target area of that particular class. Modifications are given throughout the class so that each student can practice according to their personal abilities. Each class ends with a lavender infused cloth for savasana or relaxation pose, if desired.

If you are a seasoned yogi, you should feel comfortable in most any hatha class. Beginners can start by attending a Monday evening 6:30 class or with a Yoga Foundations Workshop offered periodically.
