Great information about ticks & tick bites! If you do remove a tick at home, do not dig in the skin for any retained parts. As long as the body is removed, your body will take care of the rest, and you do more harm than good by digging into your skin. Also, not all tick bites need preventative antibiotics. Call our office for guidance.

Onondaga County is a hot zone for Covid right now. Just a few reminders to help get us through this current time together. The Omicron variant we are seeing right now presents commonly with a sore throat and also has GI symptoms (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea). It is tempting to think you just have a cold or a stomach bug, but if you are sick at all, please get tested. This can have implications for the people around you. If you have symptoms and have a negative home test, get a PCR test. If you have a positive home test, you have Covid and there is no need to repeat testing. If you have a positive home test, please report it to the County Health Department to help us keep better track of the health of this area. It is quick and easy to do so. And as always, reach out to us with any questions.

She did her undergraduate degree at LeMoyne & her graduate degree at SUNY Upstate Medical College. She enjoys gardening, kayaking, and spending time with her family & dogs. Meghan likes family medicine because it gives her the opportunity to treat a variety of ages & conditions in a setting where she can establish long-term relationships with patients.
