After many years of building and leading Hereba Mental Health Counseling, I’m stepping into a new chapter. The practice will be closing on June 1st.
This is not a decision I made lightly. It comes after a lot of reflection, and a deep awareness that if I want to continue showing up for this work in a way that is sustainable, present, and aligned with who I am, something needed to shift.
There is so much I feel when I look back on this chapter. Gratitude, pride, and a deep respect for what has been built here. This practice has been shaped by the clients, my amazing clinicians, and it has meant more to me than I can fully express. This practice has served this community for nearly a decade, supporting and touching the lives of over 1,000 individuals across New York. That is something I will carry with me always.
Moving forward, I will be joining CNY Mental Health Counseling as the Director of Clinical Programming. This role allows me to return to the parts of the work that feel most aligned for me—meaningful client care, supporting and mentoring clinicians, advancing clinical development and cultivating a space rooted in thoughtful, intentional practice.
I will also be leaning into more spiritually based endeavors such as my work with Leslie’s Light, as this pivot will allow more room for that path to unfold.
To the clients of this practice: We are committed to supporting you through this transition with care. We will take the next steps together. Thank you for the trust you have placed in this practice. It has been an honor to be a part of your journey and the unfolding of your beautiful stories.
To my colleagues and community: I’m holding a lot of appreciation for what has been, and a quiet sense of openness for what’s ahead. I look forward to working with you in a new capacity.
Endings are rarely easy, especially when they hold meaning, connection, and care. And yet, they are also a natural part of growth—creating space for new beginnings, new directions, and continued transformation. It is my hope that, in time, this transition will reveal its own unfolding path for each of us.
More to come 🤍
