Over the past twelve weeks, we have had the honor of participating in Aviatra Accelerators 'Momentum' Program. A business accelerator designed to support women entrepreneurs in refining and expanding our business foundations with clarity, strategy, and heart.

This experience has been nothing short of expansive. From the thoughtfully refined curriculum to the lineup of generous guest speakers, every piece of this journey has been meaningful. Jill and Jasmine at Aviatra have poured so much care into building a space that is both practical and deeply supportive.

This journey has helped us clarify how we want to grow the impact of our work at Mindful Modern Living: supporting individuals and organizations in cultivating intentional living, whole-person wellness, and meaningful behavioral change.

We have learned from branding experts, financial advisors, public speaking coaches, attorneys, and other seasoned professionals who have taken time out of their schedules to mentor us. Stretching our thinking and helping us build stronger, more impactful businesses!

One of the most powerful parts has been the community: a diverse group of women founders. Some building product-based businesses, some service-based, all of us building something meaningful. The mutual support, feedback, laughter, and courage in this group has reminded me how powerful it is to grow together. We will genuinely miss seeing these women weekly and I am SO proud to be among them!

This week (Thursday night), we will share our final business pitches on stage and celebrate what becomes possible when women support women!

I cycle through times were I cannot breathe without feeling the weight of everything pressing down on me. I am overwhelmed. My mind is foggy and for days I feel like a battle with my own body, my emotions, and my thoughts. I am stuck in this cycle of darkness, battling and/or . Sometimes I feel like I have no idea how to find my way out.โ 
โ 
But I years ago I found a practice that helps me return to myself. Sound healing. It is not an instant cure but it helps me create space. Space to breathe. Space to feel. Space to let go. And in that space, I begin to .โ

โฆ When we do not process what we have seen, what weโ€™ve felt, whether it was our own experience or something we absorbed from those around us, it doesnโ€™t just disappear. It lingers. It shapes us, our relationships, the way we move through life.

It takes courage to sit in the stillness and ask yourself, who am I? Who am I outside of relationships, outside of roles, outside of what other people need from me?

Some of us resist self-reflection so much that we jump from one thing to the next, hoping that whatever we lost in the last person, whether a romanic partner or friend, will magically show up in the next. We distract ourselves. We convince ourselves that moving forward is the same thing as healing. But itโ€™s not.

โš• Real healing doesnโ€™t happen in motion. It happens in the pause.

โ‹’ The other day I was driving home from a session when I looked over at a red light and saw a mother & her child sitting side by side in their car, both completely absorbed in their phones. And something about it stirred something in me. It wasnโ€™t judgment. It was sadness.โ

โฆ Iโ€™ve felt it too when I glance up from my own phone and see Jackie & Jemma (my cats) just staring at meโ€ฆ waiting. I imagine itโ€™s a longing for connection. They want to play, to engage, to simply be with me. But I am not there. Iโ€™m lost in a world that pulls me away from the present moment.โ

Or when my partner and I are both zoned out in front of a screen. Weโ€™re thereโ€ฆ but not ๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ๐˜ข๐˜ญ๐˜ญ๐˜บ there.โ
