If you're pregnant, you've probably heard you need to strengthen your pelvic floor for birth.

But here's what's more important: learning how to relax it.

During labor and delivery, your pelvic floor needs to lengthen and release to allow your baby to move through the birth canal.

If your pelvic floor is tight or you don't know how to release it, it can make labor longer and more difficult.

That's why our Birth Prep Workshop focuses on both strength and release. We teach you how to connect with your pelvic floor, how to breathe through contractions, and how to support your body through birth and recovery.

Preparation makes a difference.

Join our next Birth Prep Workshop or book a prenatal assessment at 513-987-0601.

I need to tell you something that might surprise you.

Your pelvic floor isn't just about preventing leaks. It's the foundation of how your entire core functions.

When I work with patients, they're often shocked to learn their back pain, hip discomfort, or even breathing patterns are connected to pelvic floor dysfunction.

Your body is designed to work as a whole system. When one part isn't functioning optimally, everything else compensates.

That's why at Pillar, we don't just treat symptoms. We look at the whole picture.

If you've been told to 'just do more Kegels' or 'wait until you're done having kids,' I want you to know there's a better way.

Book a consultation at 513-987-0601. Let's talk about what's really going on.

Stop planning your day around bathrooms.

Leaking with a sneeze. Sudden urgency that sends you running. Waking up three times a night. Constant mental mapping of where the nearest restroom is.

It's common. But it's not something you just have to live with.

Our Bladder Program helps you regain control with a structured, whole-body plan:

→ Comprehensive bladder + pelvic floor assessment
→ Bladder retraining + urge suppression strategies
→ Pelvic floor muscle training (way beyond kegels)
→ Bladder diary analysis + habit coaching
→ Manual therapy for tension or scar tissue
→ Real-time ultrasound

Whether you're postpartum, perimenopausal, or just tired of planning life around your bladder, we can help.

Let’s clear something up: leaking during exercise is common, but it’s not normal.

I hear this all the time. “I just p*e a little when I jump. It’s fine. I had kids.”

But here’s what I want you to know: your body is capable of so much more.

Leaking is a sign that your pelvic floor isn’t coordinating with the demands you’re placing on it. It’s not a life sentence. It’s a signal. And it’s absolutely something we can address.

At Pillar, we help athletes, runners, and active people return to the movements they love without fear or limitation. And if you’re not an athlete, that matters just as much.

Whether leaking shows up during workouts, laughing or coughing, carrying groceries, chasing kids, or just getting through the day, you deserve support. Pelvic health isn’t about being “fit enough” to qualify for care. It’s about helping your body work better for your life.

You don’t have to wear a pad to get through the day.
You don’t have to avoid jumping, running, or everyday movement.

You deserve to feel strong, supported, and confident in your body.

Pregnancy and postpartum are athletic events. Your body deserves expert care.

Our Pregnancy & Postpartum Program offers custom support for every stage:

→ Pelvic floor therapy for leaking, pressure, pain, and core changes
→ Relief for back, hip, and joint pain
→ Post-birth recovery plans (vaginal or C-section)
→ Whole-body wellness: movement, education, and support

Whether you're 8 weeks pregnant or 18 years postpartum, we meet you where you are.

When is it safe to start exercising after having a baby?

Here's what I wish every postpartum parent knew.

The traditional six-week clearance doesn't tell the whole story. Your body has been through an incredible transformation, and it needs intentional support to heal properly.

I see so many people rushing back to high-impact exercise because they feel pressure to 'bounce back.' But your pelvic floor, your core, your entire system needs time to restore.

That doesn't mean doing nothing. It means doing the right things at the right time.

At Pillar, we guide you through a progressive return to movement that honors where your body is right now.

You deserve care that listens to your story and meets you where you are.

Ready to feel supported in your body again? Call 513-987-0601 to schedule.

→ Whole-body wellness: movement, education, and support

Pregnancy is athletic. You deserve expert support.

Day 3 for Dey January

we are still connecting our breath to our public floor. In this video Dr Kari is working on expanding her rib cage on her breath IN which exerts pressure DOWN onto the public floor, allowing for it to move towards our feet. At home this is more of an awareness. But in clinic, we have an amazing option to perform. REAL-TIME ULTRASOUND. So you can see your body move in real time!

keep on hanging in there with us for the next two weeks to learn more about how your pelvic floor, breath, core are all connected!

If you want to learn more or would like hands-on assessment sign up for our CORE CONNECT WORKSHOP held on January 15 from 6 to 7 PM in clinic. Sign up through our website with Lincoln bio above!!
