One of the best parts of my job: taking care of older adults who are not afraid of aging. They live fearlessly without worrying about a fat pad, a wrinkle, an ache, a gray hair, etc. It’s hard to worry about the signs aging when you are busy having fun or focusing on your purpose. They inspire me to live my life to the fullest everyday ❤️

❤️They have a lot of experience with aging and they have made peace with the process
❤️They often say “it (aging) is better than the alternative (death)”
❤️The lesson: Don’t let the fear of aging keep you from LIVING
❤️They inspire me to live my life to the fullest everyday
❤️I’m not worried about a fat pad, a wrinkle, an ache, etc
❤️I take that inspiration and pass it on to my younger patients and my followers

Don’t mind me, just prepping my body for the next concert in the rain🫣

I actually run and walk outdoors year-round so that my body stays weather-ready
-I’m water-resistant, heat-resistant, cold-resistant, and snow-resistant
-As runners, we call them “training runs” and it’s mostly about training for all weather
-This skill translates well for most outdoor activities including concerts
-What’s a hidden skill that you have?

My first concert at the ‘Shoe to see Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak! Two of the best to ever do it 🥹

I love both of them and I can’t tell you how many people texted me when Silk Sonic was announced, like your boys are teaming up! LOL. I’ve seen both of them perform individually but I said that if Silk Sonic ever went on tour, I would be there! I drove up from Cincinnati! It was great!

In January, my job emailed me to let me know that I had 500+ vacation hours and I needed to use more vacation time because I was about to max out. Around the same time, Bruno Mars dropped his tour dates. So I went to a concert on a Wednesday night at the Ohio Stadium! It was my first time going to a concert at the ‘Shoe 🙌🏽❤️

I’m already off on Wednesdays so I took Thursday and Friday off and stayed in Columbus for a couple of days. I’m off next week too so I’m going to Cleveland (my hometown) for a few days too. How do you spend your vacation days?

One of my goals has been to start speaking at graduations. Last week, I had the opportunity to speak at the OSUCOM Doctoral Convocation Honoring the Class of 2026. I was speaking on behalf of the Medical Alumni Society as the President-Elect. I spoke about remaining a part of the Buckeye community after graduation. It was another dream that became reality. I had a great time and I am excited to do it again next year! O-H!
