Happy first day of Fall ๐Ÿ Iโ€™ve been absent for a while spending time with family during the loss of my grandmother. I have sporadically been taking appointments during the brief times I would be in Ohio, but am now back and fully committed to providing massage for clients. Thank you for being patient and understanding that sometimes it is okay to step away and do what is best for ourselves emotionally and mentally.

One of my favorite recipes to make is Peanut Tofu Bowls. I could eat this once a week (which turns into easy leftovers) and be totally happy. In fact, I always double the recipe so thereโ€™s no doubt there will be leftovers.

For making Peanut Tofu Bowls you will need:

* 2 blocks of extra firm tofu
* 3 Broccoli Crowns ๐Ÿฅฆ
* 2 Red Bell Peppers
* 2 Green Bell Peppers ๐Ÿซ‘
* 1 Bag of Stir Fry Noodles
* 2 TBS Sesame Oil
* Corn Starch ๐ŸŒฝ
* Salt ๐Ÿง‚
* Pepper
* 2 TBS Olive oil
* Sriracha ๐ŸŒถ (to taste)
* 2 TS Garlic Powder ๐Ÿง„
* 2 TS Ground Ginger
* 2 TBS Sugar
* Bangkok Peanut Sauce ๐Ÿฅœ
* Sesame Seeds

1. Drain and press the tofu between paper towels, plates,and something slightly heavy to apply pressure. I used large cans of soup. Press them for about 45 minutes. Changing out the paper towels about 25 minutes in is recommended.
2. While tofu is pressing turn your stove to 425 to preheat. Chop the broccoli ๐Ÿฅฆ and peppers ๐Ÿซ‘. Set aside in pans after topping with salt and pepper and olive oil.
3. Once tofu is done pressing, cut into small pieces and toss in corn starch ๐ŸŒฝ until covered. In a large skillet heat to medium and drizzle with olive oil. Place tofu pieces in skillet and let them sit. Over-stirring tofu is a real thing. Be careful as they may fall apart if stirred too often.
4. Fill a large pot with water. Boil water and put in stir fry noodles.
5. Place pans of broccoli ๐Ÿฅฆ and peppers ๐Ÿซ‘ in the stove until they look crispy (roughly 15-20 minutes).
6. Grab the sriracha, olive oil, ground ginger, garlic powder ๐Ÿง„ , sugar, sriracha. Mix together in a small bowl.
7. Once tofu is done remove and place on a plate while keeping the pan for noodles.
8. When noodles are soft, drain them and place in pan that the tofu was cooked in. Heat pan to medium high. Stir in sauce made from step 6.
9. Noodles will start to get brown/crunchy. Remove from heat.
10. Make your tofu bowl! I start with noodles on the bottom, then tofu. Top with broccoli ๐Ÿฅฆ and peppers๐Ÿซ‘. Mix in Bangkok Peanut Sauce and sesame seeds if youโ€™d like.

To some massage therapy is a luxury while others look at it as maintenance for their body. Either way you look at it, massage therapy can put you in a vulnerable position (literally). Lying down while being undressed may make some uncomfortable.

I understand that you are putting yourself out there and taking a chance when you put yourself in a vulnerable position. Please hear thisโ€”> when you come in for a massage you are putting yourself in my hands and that takes a lot of trust. I acknowledge that and am honored to be your massage practitioner.

Story timeโ€”โ€”>I had my first client yesterday ask how I cleaned after COVID. After I explained protocols to her I realized I have not been explaining or reassuring ANYONE of my cleaning measures. ๐Ÿ˜ณ ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ When you come into my massage studio I want you to be 110% comfortable. Part of being comfortable (especially in these days) is having peace of mind that the area you are about to lay down for an hour and a half is properly cleaned and disinfected. After each client leaves, not only does the massage table get disinfected but so does everything else the client or myself may have touched. While I clean up, I practice CDC guidelines. I use a product called Puregreen 24. Itโ€™s a natural cleaner that is harsh enough to kill COVID-19, but EPA registered safe enough to clean your childโ€™s toys they put in their mouths without a rinse. And get this..it doesnโ€™t have a smell. ๐Ÿ‘ƒ No harsh cleaner odor. Hallelujah. ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป

Some workouts are good. Some are better. Some workouts arenโ€™t fun by any means. Some are challenging while others are easier. ALL workouts, however, are REWARDING. Even a workout thatโ€™s 20 minutes is rewarding. Your body needs movement, stretch, and pliable muscles to be happy. Not to mention other thingsโ€ฆlike What exercise are you doing today to help keep your body (and mind) happy?
