All of us at QCPH are mothers first, and to hear that the government shutdown left so many children and families without food for the month hurt our hearts. Honored to have participated in the food drive to benefit local Anderson Township families affected by the lapse in SNAP coverage (many thanks to Taylor M. Rysdon at Blended Bakes LLC for leading the charge!). We also directed donations towards a food drive at Karly's children's elementary school in Fort Thomas, home of our other location. We love our communities and hope this has provided comfort to local families 💙
Last week we packed 28 families, and this week, we packed 39 total families. Reaching the following stats:
-67 families fed
-178 children fed
-134 adults fed
✨312 total people fed!✨
In just two weeks you all joined me on a journey I couldn’t be more grateful for. Before I head to sleep I just had to report that we flooded Wandering Monsters with donations and now we have a surplus (which will be donated to local food pantries and blessing boxes in our community).
We FREAKING DID IT! Thanks to your donations I have 100 bottles of dish soap (I’m kidding), a year supply of peanut butter, spices and more in my car to donate and I’m excited to report that this surplus means we can continue to cultivate change in the community and fight food insecurity together.
Thank you neighbors, thank you friends. Remember we’re better . I will share more tomorrow but wanted to make sure I have this update. All families have been packed and tonight we delivered 28/39 families in just 24 hours, thanks to an amazing volunteer team!
✨ So what’s next? 😳🥹
Help us deliver the final 10 groceries to families ( braining) has volunteered to help coordinate this tomorrow at Wandering Monsters - meet her there at 12 pm to be assigned a few deliveries 🩵
Donate any remaining items you have / planned to bring to our local pantries and pantry boxes! They are hurting and need our help. Please do not bring any additional donations to WM we’re beyond full and actually trying to offload the donations.
Stay connected: not just with me but all of your neighbors, this was a reminder that all it takes is one person saying they have an idea and executing on it to create change—our collective effort will forever be stronger than anything we do on our own and I’m grateful all of you could join me on this journey and impact your neighbors. Food should never be political.
Lastly please go follow some of the amazing businesses involved in helping me make this happen, patron their businesses because they too are small, growing businesses with a heart for building community.

Family Thyme Kitchen: Emma donated personalized meals to every single family on the list so they didn’t just receive a box of the necessities but also a warm meal, her food is delicious and she and her mom are literally the kindest human to work with. Emma, I’m forever grateful for your collaboration, organization and true heart for this work.
Wandering Monsters Brewing: we appreciate you sharing your space to sort and pack orders for families.
✨Our generous business donors, THANK YOU: Mercantile on Main St., Queen City Pelvic Health and Wellness, The UPS Store Anderson Township, Kroger, With Love Nani, Turner Craft Co.
✨Volunteers✨ We had too many to name but you all were everything! I truly couldn’t have done it without you. Your dedication to taking care of your neighbors was unmatched. Many of you drove items to my home, showed up before I did, delivered groceries to families (even in uncomfy times of day), shopped for families, raised money through your connections, and collaborated with me to find more volunteers. I cannot thank you enough and I didn't end with you because you're the least important, I ended with you because you made the LASTing impact on the families we served, and on my family. Thank you from the bottom of my families heart.
