Our March Staff Members of the Month are a dynamic duo — Service Coordinator Karla Lust and Remote Supports/Assistive Tech Specialty Service Coordinator Amanda Brehm. These two were nominated by a provider, THS Remote Support Services. Their nominee wrote: "I've had the pleasure of working closely with Amanda Brehm and, more recently, Karla Lust. Both have absolutely blown me away with their creativity and dedication to finding the best supports tailored to each person's unique needs. They embody true person-centered thinking, balancing what the individual wants with what the "experts" believe is needed.
Amanda understands the rules like the back of her hand and knows how to use them innovatively. She has a gift for getting people excited about what can sometimes feel like a scary topic - technology - and she does so in a way that builds confidence and enthusiasm.
Karla is equally impressive. She isn't afraid to lean into her deep knowledge of the people she supports to design least-intrusive, creative, and highly effective solutions. She has been incredibly diligent in putting every piece of the puzzle together while strongly advocating for independence for a (person) we are preparing to support...They are making a meaningful difference."
