We’re taught to think of fertility as a waiting game.
Wait until the right time.
Wait until you’re “ready.”
Wait and see if your body cooperates.

But fertility isn’t something to chase—or fear.
It’s a vital sign.

When ovulation is happening regularly, when hormones are cycling in harmony, when your body feels safe and nourished enough to support new life, it’s a reflection of overall health.
And when it’s not happening?
It’s not a failure or something to fault. It’s a clue.

A late period. Irregular cycles. Missing ovulation. These are root-cause signals that your body needs more support.

In naturopathic medicine, fertility is a whole-body conversation, looking at things like:

✔️ Blood sugar stability
✔️ Thyroid function
✔️ Stress & cortisol rhythms
✔️ Nutrient status
✔️ Gut + immune health
✔️ Inflammation & toxic load

Because fertility isn’t about a ticking clock ⏰
It’s about giving your body the right conditions to be truly well.

If you’re ready to take a deeper look, I’ll be opening new patient spots again this fall, specifically for women seeking support with fertility, preconception, and postpartum care.

Earlier this year, I made the decision to pause accepting new patients.

My schedule had become too full, and I was supporting a wide range of concerns, which, while meaningful, wasn’t sustainable long-term. I knew something had to shift.

To prevent burnout and continue offering the kind of care I truly believe in—personalized, high-quality, and thoughtful—I’ve spent the past several months narrowing my focus to the areas where I feel most grounded.

The ones where I’ve invested the most time in mentorship, preceptorship, and continuing education.

✨ Fertility & Preconception
✨ Postpartum Care
✨ Hormone Health & PCOS
✨ Functional Dermatology

Very soon, I’ll begin welcoming new patients again, with a clearer, more intentional focus. I’m deeply excited about this new chapter and the opportunity to work more closely in these areas.

To be among the first to receive a new patient appointment, you can join my waiting list by clicking the link in my bio.

Have you ever walked out of an appointment feeling like… nothing really got answered?

Sometimes what’s missing isn’t just a diagnosis—it’s a conversation. A moment to pause, ask the right questions, and really feel heard.

That’s why I created this list of gentle but direct questions you can bring to your practitioner when things feel vague, rushed, or incomplete.

No confrontation. No defensiveness. Just language that opens doors.

✨ You’re allowed to ask more.
✨ You’re allowed to seek clarity.
✨ You’re allowed to be a full participant in your care.

Save this post for your next appointment—or forward it to someone who could use it.

You know how we’re always told to push through?
Push through the tiredness, the anxiety, the brain fog.
Push through the weird cycles, the breakouts, the mood swings.
Push through… everything.

But here’s my thought, and maybe this is a hot take about the feminine nervous system…
She’s not built for constant pushing.

She’s built for rhythm.
For rest and reset.
For nourishment.
For slowness, softness, and connection.

And when we’re constantly on the go—skipping meals, skimming emails, saying “yes” when we mean “I’m so overstimulated I could cry”… that beautiful, sensitive system starts to short-circuit.

You’re not lazy for needing rest.

You’re not dramatic for feeling overwhelmed.

You’re just living in a world that wasn’t designed with your biology in mind.

And when we start to listen—really listen—to what your body is asking for?

Hormones begin to balance.
Energy comes back.
Sleep deepens.
Fertility returns.
Your skin glows again.

And you start to feel like yourself again.

I’m not currently taking new patients, but my waitlist is open, and if this message speaks to you, I’d love for you to join it.

You’ve spent months preparing for birth…but what about preparing for recovery? 💕

The postpartum season is beautiful—but let’s be honest, it’s also exhausting, nutrient-depleting, and hormonally intense. Your body is healing, recalibrating, and doing the incredible work of nourishing a baby (and you).

In my latest blog, we’re talking about how to replenish your body postpartum, especially when you’re already running on empty. From gentle nutrition strategies to the key labs I recommend (yes, you can feel better), this is a guide every new mama deserves.

A Little Mid-Summer Pause 🌿

Just an FYI that I will be out of the office from July 7th–14th for some much-needed family time and a little summer reset. ☀️

Cristina and I will both be keeping an eye out for time-sensitive messages, but otherwise, we’ll respond to emails and portal messages the week of July 14th.

Thanks so much for your patience and understanding while I take this short break! 💛

You know that feeling when your skin is doing something weird and you just know it’s more than surface deep?

Like when your jawline suddenly flares up with breakouts out of nowhere, or your skin feels dry no matter how much moisturizer you slather on, or you start noticing dark little patches that weren’t there before… and no skincare routine seems to touch it?

Your skin is so much more than just your outer layer. It’s deeply connected to what’s happening inside your body, especially when it comes to your hormones + gut health.

For example…

🌸 Those chin and jawline breakouts? They’re often tied to androgens (yep, those bossy hormones that like to show up in PCOS or after coming off the pill).

🌸 That persistent dryness? It could be your thyroid whispering that it needs some support.

🌸 Dark, velvety patches around the neck or underarms? That’s sometimes your body’s way of waving a little flag about insulin sensitivity.

🌸 And eczema flares? More often than not, they’re tied to gut inflammation and an immune system that’s just a little on edge.

None of these things mean your body is failing you. They just mean it’s speaking up, and skin happens to be one of the ways it gets your attention.

When we pause long enough to actually listen (without judgment, without panic), we get to understand why these patterns are happening. And that’s where the real healing begins.

If your skin has been feeling confusing or frustrating lately, and you have a little voice wondering if something deeper might be going on, you’re probably right.

I’m not currently accepting new patients, but I do have a waitlist open, and I’d love for you to join if this kind of root-focused care feels aligned for you. You can add your name at the link below, and you’ll be the first to know when I have new openings.

When we think about fertility, most of the focus tends to fall on cycles, ovulation tracking, or testing, and while those things absolutely matter, there are also some quieter, behind-the-scenes imbalances that don’t always get talked about… but can have a big impact.

Things like subtle inflammation from foods your body might be sensitive to, even ones that seem healthy on paper. Or the way your body responds to constant light exposure and late nights, which can throw off your natural hormone rhythms more than you’d expect.

Then there’s the everyday stuff we don’t think twice about: plastics in your water bottle, the receipts in your wallet, or skincare products with ingredients your endocrine system has to work overtime to process.

And of course, stress. Not the “big meltdown” kind, but the constant background buzz that keeps your nervous system in high alert, even if everything looks fine on the surface.

One that really surprises people? Underfueling. Especially if you’re eating clean, skipping snacks, or unintentionally not eating enough to support a body that’s trying to grow a whole human someday.

None of this is about getting it perfect (as if!). It’s about understanding the full picture and being gentle and honest with yourself.

If you’ve been trying and wondering what might be missing, these are the kinds of things I love helping women explore. Fertility is sensitive and wise. When we slow down and listen, it often starts to make so much more sense.

There are a lot of myths about who naturopathic doctors are and what we do, so I wanted to share a little more about naturopathic medicine—and my own journey into this work. 🌿

👩‍⚕️ Naturopathic doctors (NDs) complete a rigorous education that begins with a science-heavy undergraduate degree, followed by four years at an accredited naturopathic medical school. Our training includes over 4,000 hours of academic and clinical instruction in both conventional sciences—like anatomy, physiology, pathology, and pharmacology—and integrative therapies such as nutrition, botanical medicine, physical medicine, and counseling.

✅ NDs study the same biomedical sciences as MDs and DOs, and many of us go on to focus in areas like endocrinology, gastroenterology, oncology, psychology, and more, depending on our clinical interests and additional training.

📝 After graduation, we take national board exams (the NPLEX) in order to be licensed as healthcare providers.

🌎 NDs are currently licensed in 26 U.S. jurisdictions—including 23 states, D.C., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands—and in several Canadian provinces. We're actively working toward licensure in more states, including Ohio, where I currently practice.

✨ A bit about me: I earned my bachelor’s degree in chemistry and completed training in therapeutic massage before pursuing my doctorate at the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon. I also hold a certificate in naturopathic obstetrics and midwifery, and had the incredible experience of attending over 50 home births during my clinical training.

📚 The learning never stops—currently, I’m studying restorative reproductive health through a mentorship in NeoFertility under Dr. Phil Boyle. Like other licensed healthcare professionals, we’re held to continuing education standards to stay current and provide the best possible care.

I'm licensed in Vermont and plan to obtain licensure in Ohio as soon as it's available. My clinical focus is on women’s health, fertility, and dermatology.

💛 If you’ve ever been curious about naturopathic medicine or what sets it apart, I hope this brings a little more clarity. Always happy to answer questions—and I’m so grateful you’re here!

In honor of , let’s talk myth vs. fact about becoming a licensed naturopathic doctor. ⬇️🩺

✅ NDs attend 4-year, accredited naturopathic medical schools with 4,100+ hours of classroom time and 1,200+ hours of supervised clinic shifts.

✅ NDs are trained to address the root cause of illness with natural therapeutics AND use conventional medicine when called for.

✅ NDs study the same biomedical sciences as MDs and have the option to focus on areas of medicine such as endocrinology, gastroenterology, oncology, psychology, and more.

Was it having painful periods dismissed as “normal”?

Feeling confused by your cycle, your skin, or your moods—and never getting a clear answer?

Or being handed the same solution over and over, even when it wasn’t working?

I ask because I hear this a lot from patients: “I’ve been trying to figure this out for years, and you’re the first person who actually connected the dots.”

That’s the kind of care I believe in—slow enough to listen, curious enough to ask better questions, and personalized enough to finally make sense.

So I’d love to know...

What part of your health story has felt overlooked, minimized, or just not taken seriously?

06/05/2025

Not to rant… but I’m so tired of seeing women gaslighted when they ask for what I consider to be pretty basic lab testing. The number of times I’ve recommended a straightforward, appropriate lab panel—only for their primary care or ob/gyn to say “No, you don’t need that,” or “That won’t change anything”—is honestly infuriating.

These are women who are exhausted, anxious, bloated, bleeding heavily, not sleeping, losing their hair, feeling disconnected from their bodies—and still being told it’s “normal.” Or worse, being offered birth control, an antidepressant, or nothing at all.

It should not be radical to ask for labs. It shouldn’t require a full-blown advocacy effort just to get a thyroid panel, ferritin, and progesterone tested. I routinely help women advocate for themselves because this is the system we’re in—and it’s broken.

Yes, I can (and do) order these labs for patients, but it’s sometimes more affordable if they can go through insurance or involve another practitioner. And yet—so many are shut down when they try. Made to feel like they're overthinking, overreaching, or wasting someone’s time.

We are long past due for a healthcare model that listens to women, respects their lived experience, and doesn't write them off for wanting to make sense of their symptoms or for being "too in tune" with their bodies.

Women. Deserve. Better.

Have you ever wondered if your skin issues might be connected to something deeper, like your gut?

If you’re dealing with breakouts, rosacea, or flare-ups that don’t seem to budge no matter what products you try, it might be time to look within (literally!).

I just shared a new blog all about the gut-skin connection—what it is, how to know if it’s playing a role in your skin, and simple ways to start supporting both your digestion and your complexion at the same time.

This is for anyone ready to stop chasing quick fixes and start feeling better from the inside out.

You can read the full post on the blog (link in bio), and if you’re hoping to work together, the waitlist for fall openings is now live!
