Thank you all for your support and patience during this busy time. It’s been a long (and stressful) time coming, but we are super excited it’s finally here!

We are out of the office 7/23-7/28 to prepare and be with family.

Crossfitters? Powerlifters? Weightlifters?
I have hear this many times.
You love the sport but not always the way your body feels with it.
Injury or no injury.

Remember all the factors matter - especially when your sport involves training hard.
Factors like:
-sleep
-stress
-NUTRITION & FUEL
-SLEEP
-warm up
-cool down
-recovery time

And a few big ones people forget, especially if they’re not working with a coach (with good programming)…..

DELOADing, OFF SEASONs, and CROSS TRAINING.

Arthritis can be a scary word, but take some time to understand it and it doesn’t have to be scary.

Arthritis in its literal meaning is ‘joint inflammation.’

Arthritis in its ‘diagnostic’ meaning is a condition causing joint pain, stiffness, and swelling brought on by years of football, surgery, or genetics.

Once a joint gets inflamed or irritated the muscles around it compensate.
OR
Once your muscles tighten up from overuse, injury, etc. and don’t fully function the way they should - of course the joint is going to stiffen up.

Chicken or the egg…

But we have helped many people with restoring this balance between the joints and muscles so they stop compensating for one another and start working together 💪💪💪

Now we can’t reverse the damage already done to your joints, and teaching the muscles may take time, but most of our patients find relief in their symptoms and learn how to prevent further development of their arthritis.

Don’t wait for your parents ‘bad back’ or hand pain to catch up with you - do something about it now to PREVENT it!

Two people this week have mentioned sleeping on or getting a different bed and feeling better….

Are you feeling stiff and sore in the morning (for no reason)? This is common as we get older, but it is definitely not normal. It honestly may be your mattress.

Mattresses last only 7-10 years, and unfortunately you can’t flip and rotate them like you used to.

This is your reminder to do the hard things.

•the things you don’t like
•the things you’ve been avoiding
•the things you’re afraid of
•the things your making excuses for…

Enough with not trying that box jump,
With always using the same 10 # weights,
With avoiding that uncomfortable conversation,
With skipping your workout completely just because you can’t get to the gym.

ITS TIME! To level up, grow up, take care of that (shoulder) problem, and take control of your health and fitness. 💯

Ok maybe a little …

What I mean is… when you’re on a foam roller or lacrosse ball it’s not as effective to be rolling back and forth and smashing the hell out of your muscles. Typically this leaves you with tenderness, bruises, doing it over and over without change, and possibly making things worse!

The deeper you can let your tools go — the more effective “rolling” will be.
( Emphasis on LET and NOT FORCE )
Breathe 🧘‍♀️ and let those tool gently sink into your muscles.

We highly recommend using these tools for a 5-10 min after each workout on the body parts your need or just trained. They’re a great way to stay on top of your own recovery ❤️‍🩹
