Have you ever spoken to an Elder Addict 👀
They'll all tell you, these drugs aren't what they used to be. You used to have to almost TRY to Overdose, even when it came to he**in as long as you were a regular user.
I wish we could go back to the "drug problem" our Country had before all of the pharmaceutical and gov. Restrictions, back when entire generations weren't being lost to this. Back when chronic pain patients were getting their pain treated with necessary drugs and therefore didn't view turning to the streets for relief and/or su***de as their only escape.
I wish we could go back. Before the fear, the panic and interventions, I wish we could've spent the money on resources for recovery and addicts instead of trying to stop a problem that has always been inevitable.
Addiction has always been, and always will be.
Back in the day, it wasn't always a life sentence. The restrictions brought about mass waves of even stronger drugs and new ways to get high, which in turn just means new ways to die.
Because an addict will always find a way, restrictions or not. No one wins with the crackdown on prescription pain relief, far more have died since the regulations than ever before.
