Yesterday, on January 8, we celebrated the life of Charles "Chaz" Walker on his birthday. It was a beautiful and very well-attended memorial service here at Queen City Clubhouse. Chaz was a beloved member of our community and we will all miss him and remember him fondly.

Chaz founded and ran the Mental Health Talent Show of America for over twenty years. We will have a talent show in his honor this May. We have also dedicated a memorial room in the clubhouse to Chaz, where we will hold space for quiet and reflection, and where we will honor all members we have lost.

We are writing to share the news of the passing of a great member of our community, Charles Clifton Walker, also known as "Chaz." Chaz was deeply valued, and his music and spirit had a meaningful impact on our community.

Everyone is welcome to join us for a celebration of Chaz's life.

Date: January 8th. 2026
Time: 5pm-7pm
Location: The Queen City Clubhouse, 1501 Madison Rd. Basement Level

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Recovery Center of Hamilton County to support the Mental Health Talent Show of America. Please pass this information on to other members. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out!

We need your help! We operate a small pantry for our members free of cost, however this means we need to bring in donations in order to keep it running! Offering these items has really supported our members.

Please consider donating if you are able! Donations can be dropped off to the basement at GCB - 1501 Madison Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45206, or we can come pick them up from you! Here are some things to keep in mind when gathering donations:

- Higher-protein, calorie-dense items needed
- Items should be shelf-stable (no refrigeration)
- Can opener may not be accessible–please buy cans with pop-top tabs
- Microwave/stove may not be accessible
