For those who are celiac or avoiding wheat and gluten for various health reasons, here is a handy safe candy list compiled by Celiac.org. There is a specific list for Halloween on this page.
Please note sometimes some candies are gluten free but seasonal shapes might be made on shared lines (Reese's cups has been an example of this). Depending on your sensitivity and need, you might need to examine that as well.
For parents new to dietary restrictions, one recommendation is to buy some candy you know is safe that your child enjoys - then they can trade in items that aren't safe or you're unsure of. Some people use a Switch Witch to trade out candy and give small gifts instead- for all candy or just some designated ones that aren't safe.
As always there is the option of the Teal Pumpkin for non food treats as well.
Even food holidays can be fun for those with Dietary Restrictions, but it does take a little pre-planning and being creative.
