2022 is a transitional year.
People are returning from work during the endemic phase of Covid 19. Meaning more people are in the workforce than the previous 2 years. Stressors are at an all time high - Pandemic, inflation, supply chain disruptions, food supply disruptions and feelings of hopelessness.
Recent mass shootings make people focus on safety for themselves and their families as they return to work and go about their daily routine.
According to the FBI there was a 50% increase in Active Shooter Incidents in 2021. A total of 61 shootings injuring 140 people and killing 103 people.
2022 FBI statistics aren't available yet but several have recently occurred, meaning one should consider how to respond to acts of violence, especially shootings, in the workplace.
NKH Safety can help. Active shooter training, CPR, First Aid training and Stop the Bleed training are offered to help companies and organizations prepare should this violence arrive at your location.
