Miles 'Deuce' McBride is giving back to his hometown through the Annual Miles 'Deuce' McBride Camp.

The camp provides kids with hands-on basketball training, teaches teamwork, and highlights the importance of hard work and dedication.

💡 ATHLETIC TRAINER SPOTLIGHT: Susan Blackson is a certified athletic trainer at Indian Hill High School and has been with Beacon since 2012. One of our longest tenured ATs, Susan earned a bachelor’s degree in Sports Medicine from Marietta College and a master’s in Exercise & Sport Science from the University of Florida in 2003. Since becoming a certified athletic trainer in 2001, she has worked at both the high school and collegiate levels and has also worked in education with undergraduate athletic training students. Thank you Susan for more than a decade of impact! ❤️

We are proud to now partner with St. Xavier High School to provide comprehensive sports medicine coverage for its student-athletes. This season, Beacon orthopedic surgeon and St. X graduate Dr. Robert Pettit joins the Bomber sidelines as assistant team physician alongside longtime physician Dr. Kevin Reilly. Their collaboration continues a proud tradition at St. Xavier, where alumni physicians have historically returned to give back to the community that helped shape them.

Through this partnership, St. Xavier athletes gain access to Beacon’s highest level of care, including on-site physician coverage, certified athletic trainers, advanced imaging, and physical therapy. Beacon and TriHealth are committed to keeping student-athletes healthy - from injury prevention to recovery and beyond.

Starting this month, Beacon Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine - along with our friends at TriHealth - is the official sports medicine partner of Monroe Local Schools! This collaboration will provide top-tier sports medicine and healthcare services to all student-athletes, coaches and families.
