Join us in celebrating Cohen’s birthday and transplant anniversary by giving the gift of life at his annual blood drive! Each year, Cohen chooses to mark his birthday (September 14) and transplant anniversary (September 11) by helping others the way he was helped — through blood donation. The blood drive will take place tomorrow, September 19, from 12 PM to 6 PM at 5962 Hamilton Mason Road.

“Our annual blood drive serves as Cohen’s birthday party,” says his mom, Carrie Bramlee. “It’s a way for us to celebrate his love for helping others and the greatest gift anyone can selflessly give… the gift of life through blood donation.”

Today is Apheresis Awareness Day! 🏈💉

Apheresis blood donation is a process that separates and collects certain blood components (like platelets or double reds) while returning the rest to you.

We’re celebrating by spotlighting one of our incredible apheresis donors—Mitchell Stokey, a college football player who gives his time to help save lives in our community. Donors like him are true game-changers. Your donations directly support patients battling cancer, undergoing transplants, and facing critical surgeries.

Did you know September is Sickle Cell Awareness Month?🩸

Sickle cell disease is a genetic blood disorder where red blood cells become rigid and shaped like crescents (sickles), causing blockages in blood flow, pain, anemia, and organ damage.
