Thank you to the Messer family for hosting a truly meaningful blood drive in honor of their son, Ben Strong!

Ben's story has touched countless hearts. After undergoing surgery and showing incredible strength, he faced a sudden illness that led to him being placed on the Heart and Lung Transplant List — a procedure that had never been done at Cincinnati Children’s at the time. On July 21, 2015, the Messers said goodbye to their beloved son far too soon.

In his memory, the Ben Strong community has continued to make an incredible impact — including dedicating a patient room in the Cardiac ICU at Cincinnati Children’s in Benjamin’s name.

We are so grateful to the Messer family and everyone who showed up to give blood in Ben’s honor. Your donations help continue his legacy and save lives.
