The white smoke has risen, and a new pope has been chosen by the conclave! An American pope from Chicago… wow! Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost of the United States has been elected the 267th pope, to be known as Pope Leo XIV. I have goosebumps in this moment, as I’m sure many of you do too. History is happening right in front of us!

Our Story

The Alois Alzheimer Center opened in 1987 as America's first specialized residential community solely dedicated to the understanding, care and service of Alzheimer's disease and other related dementias. We offer numerous care levels, allowing our residents' and their families to consistently receive the care that they deserve. Offering an assisted living, four distinct levels of nursing and a total care wing allow us to provide the appropriate level of care for our residents while engaging in activities and therapies that benefit their cognition. Day Share services are offered 7 days a week from 9a - 5p and include a variety of on and off campus activities to engage your loved one. (Day Share is closed during the COVID-19 lockdown until further notice.)

Respite Stays are also offered for all levels of care to give families time to care for themselves and to relax. This enables your loved one with dementia to socialize with others who have similar challenges.
