Wisdom Wednesday 💡 | Take a Tour of Our Respite Care Center

What is respite care—and why does it matter?

Today, we’re excited to share a behind-the-scenes look at the Harold C. Schott Respite Care Center at Saint Joe’s. This space was thoughtfully designed to provide individuals with developmental disabilities a safe, comfortable, and welcoming place to stay, while giving their families and caregivers the opportunity to take time to rest, travel, or simply recharge.

Our Respite Center offers more than just short-term care. It offers peace of mind, meaningful connection, and engaging experiences supported by our compassionate, trained team.

We invite you to watch this short video tour and see how this special space supports both the individuals we serve and the families who love them. 💙

🚐✨ Fresh look, same heart.

Our Saint Joe’s vans and buses just got a brand-new look! With our rebrand, we rewrapped the vehicles that transport our residents and participants to day programs, activities, appointments, and community outings each day.

Wherever they go, they now carry our new colors — and our mission — with them. 💙

Mission Monday💙

As we reflect on 2025, we are filled with gratitude for the community that makes Saint Joe’s possible.

To our long-time and recurring supporters — thank you for showing up year after year. Your steady generosity provides consistency, care, and opportunity for the individuals we serve.

To our new supporters who joined us this year — especially those who found us for the first time in recent months — welcome! We are so grateful you chose to be part of our mission.

Because of you, individuals with developmental disabilities experienced connection, purpose, and possibility throughout 2025. Every gift — whether given once or many times — played a role in creating meaningful moments and dependable care.

Thank you for being part of the Saint Joe’s community and for making our mission possible. 💙

Wisdom Wednesday 🎆 | New Year’s Eve Message from Our COO

Saint Joe’s Community of Possibility wishes each of you a joy-filled New Year. May you see, feel, and notice all that brings your heart joy.

How do you plan to find joy in 2026? Researcher Brené Brown suggests we find joy through gratitude:

"After spending countless hours collecting stories about joy and gratitude, three powerful patterns emerged: Without exception, every person I interviewed who described living a joyful life or who described themselves as joyful, actively practiced gratitude and attributed their joyfulness to their gratitude practice."

Here at Saint Joe’s, there is so much to be grateful for – the list seems endless. But even when we are surrounded by such a supportive community, we still need to find the time to actively practice gratitude. Whether we keep a gratitude journal, write thank-you notes, create a gratitude jar, practice gratitude meditation, or simply say thank you more – we all benefit from being intentional about gratitude.

And so – THANK YOU – each of you, for all you are for Saint Joe’s. May you find much JOY this coming year!

Mission Monday 💙 | Employee Spotlight

Meet Eunice Timoney Ravenna, our Chief Operating Officer.

Eunice's journey at Saint Joe’s began in 2014 on the Advancement team, where she quickly came to know the incredible community of supporters who surround and sustain our mission — from donors and sponsors to volunteers, students, and partners. Their generosity and enthusiasm, she says, left a lasting impression and inspired her commitment to Saint Joe’s.

A few years later, Eunice had the opportunity to work more closely with our program and care teams — and it was there she witnessed what she calls the true beating heart of Saint Joe’s. The daily rhythms between individuals served, caregivers, and families create a powerful pulse felt throughout the organization. From the strength and determination of those we serve, to the trust placed in us by families, to the dedication and work ethic of our staff — this work is both meaningful and energizing.

While the pace of care can feel nonstop, Eunice believes it’s the moments we pause that matter most — celebrating a new goal reached, collaborating to solve complex challenges, or supporting families during difficult times. These connections remind us why our work at Saint Joe’s is cherished and deeply impactful.

We are incredibly grateful for Eunice's leadership and her continued dedication to advancing Saint Joe’s mission. ✨

A Fun Feature Friday! 🚒🎁

We were filled with holiday cheer this week thanks to a visit from the Sharonville Fire Department, who brought smiles, laughter, and a whole lot of Christmas spirit & gifts to Saint Joe’s.

Dressed as Santa and his helpers — including Mrs. Claus, elves, and some familiar Whoville friends — they hand-delivered gifts to our residents, creating moments of pure joy and excitement. Seeing Santa up close was a highlight for so many, and the smiles truly said it all.

We are incredibly grateful to these community heroes for taking the time to spread kindness and holiday magic. Thank you, Sharonville Fire Department, for making this season extra special for our residents. 💙

Dear Friends and Supporters,

Wishing you a blessed Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year.

As I reflect on my involvement with Saint Joe’s over the past 16+ years, one passage continues to guide my commitment:

"Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for Me."
— Matthew 25:40

Saint Joe’s staff and volunteers live this message each day, providing compassionate care, dignity, excellent medical support, and love to every individual served across all locations. In doing so, they faithfully carry out Saint Joe’s mission in truly meaningful ways.

As supporters, we are honored to continue giving our time, talent, and treasure in support of this incredible community.

God bless,
Rick and Annie Theders

At Saint Joe’s, our mission comes to life through the incredible people who show up every day for those we serve. 🎄❄️

Last week, we had the chance to celebrate our dedicated employees at our annual holiday party — a small thank-you for the compassion, patience, and heart they bring to their work all year long. From our nurses and direct support professionals to our program and support staff, each team member plays a vital role in creating a safe, joyful, and meaningful environment for our residents and participants.

We are deeply grateful for this amazing team and the difference they make every single day. 💫🎁

The holiday season has been full of joy across Saint Joe’s! 🎄❄️🎁

At our Day Programs, participants have been busy with festive crafts, light show visits, and even celebrating a couple of very special birthdays. Every day has been filled with creativity, laughter, and connection.

Over in one of our community homes, an impromptu holiday photo shoot turned into a highlight of the week — and the residents absolutely loved every moment. Smiles, laughter, and holiday spirit all around!

These moments of fun and togetherness are what make Saint Joe’s such a special place. 💙✨
