🌟 Mission Monday Spotlight: Fearless Nurse Leader 🌟

This week we’re celebrating one of the strongest pillars of care at Saint Joe’s — our Director of Nursing, Melissa. 💙

Melissa leads with heart, expertise, and humility, ensuring our residents receive the best possible care while making sure her team feels supported every step of the way.

When we asked what makes Saint Joe’s special to her, Melissa shared:

"It seems kind of cliche, but St. Joe's has a mission of value, inclusion and possibility for the people they serve who happen to have disabilities. But one thing I have always valued in St. Joe's as an employer is their ability to also make their staff feel valued and included. I never envisioned that I would one day be the Director of Nursing but appreciate that they saw in me things that I hadn't seen in myself. The concept of value and inclusion extends to everyone within the organization and for that, I am grateful."

Thank you, Melissa, for your fearless leadership, your compassion, and the way you embody the true spirit of Saint Joe’s mission every single day.

We’re out at the Saint Joe’s Golf Outing today, and we’re so grateful for all of our golfers, sponsors, and volunteers who make this event possible. 💙

True wisdom is knowing when to honor the past and when to embrace the future. Our new name — Saint Joe’s — reflects who we are today and where we’re going.

💙 Why the change?
We’ve grown beyond being just a “home.” Today, we’re a vibrant Community of Possibility, offering residential care, respite, day programs, and support in community homes.

💙 Why “Saint”?
Spelling it out is a respectful nod to Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton, founder of the Sisters of Charity. Her legacy of service is at the heart of who we are.

💙 Why “Joe’s”?
Because this isn’t just a building — it’s a home, a place of dignity, joy, and belonging. Plus, we all call it “St. Joe’s” anyways. 🙂

Our new name honors our roots and tells our story in a way that feels true to today.
