🌟 Mission Monday: Meet Tina! 🌟

Tina has been part of the Saint Joe’s family since 2004, bringing her compassion and creativity to every day as an Occupational Therapist.

“I’ve worked as an Occupational Therapist in hospitals, nursing homes, and schools, and even co-owned a therapy company for many years,” Tina shared. “When I came to Saint Joe’s, I was looking for something less clinical — and the first thing that struck me was the incredible sense of community, almost like a close-knit family. That’s what has kept me here.”

Tina loves seeing residents and staff connect — whether it’s at a party, out for a walk, or during one-on-one activities. She finds joy in thinking outside the box to create therapeutic activities, adapt tools, and build new skills that help enhance each person’s quality of life.

💙 We’re so grateful for Tina’s 20+ years of dedication and for the difference she continues to make in the lives of those we serve!

We’re filled with gratitude for the incredible foundations that funded projects this year in support of Saint Joe’s mission!

Thanks to their generosity, we’ve made meaningful upgrades that directly enhance the lives of those we serve — including:

Fall is full of hands-on experiences that inspire curiosity, connection, and joy—and our participants are soaking it all in!

🌟 Mission Monday: Meet Jason! 🌟

This week we’re spotlighting Jason, our Vice President of Human Resources here at Saint Joe’s!

Jason joined the Saint Joe’s team in 2024 after more than 15 years working across various industries. What drew him to Saint Joe’s was our culture of positivity and shared passion for the mission—where employees truly care about one another, our community, and the individuals we serve.

When asked about a favorite memory so far, Jason shared one from his very first week:

“I was able to participate in outdoor activities with residents, guests, and caregivers during summer camp, and it was amazing to see the excitement that everyone had interacting, and the dedication from caregivers (regardless of level) to providing the best experience to every single resident and guest.”

What Jason loves most about working at Saint Joe’s:

“Every day we learn and evolve. We are continuously challenged to progress and adapt, and we continually strive to be a great place to work, a great place to serve, and a leading presence in the industry.”

We’re grateful for Jason’s leadership and the heart he brings to our mission every day! 💙

🎉Feature Friday: Fall Fun in Our Day Programs

It’s been a joy-filled start to October for our Day Program participants across Blue Ash, Sharonville, and Wonder Wheels!

Last weekend, several participants soaked up the sunshine at Gorman Heritage Farm’s Sunflower Festival—the perfect fall outing full of bright blooms and even brighter smiles. 🌻

This week, our Sharonville crew got into the Halloween spirit with haunted gingerbread houses and cookie decorating fun. Meanwhile, at Blue Ash, we celebrated several birthday's!🥳🎂

From seasonal adventures to special celebrations, our Day Programs are always buzzing with connection, creativity, and community. 💙

🍎 Celebrating Our Dietary Team! 🍎

It’s National Healthcare Foodservice Workers Week, and we’re shining a spotlight on the incredible Dietary Team here at Saint Joe's!

This hardworking crew keeps our participants healthy, happy, and well-nourished every single day. Here are a few fun facts about what they do:

🥗 Every participant who eats by mouth has an individualized diet order — tailored for food texture, beverage consistency, medical needs, and personal preferences.

🍴 Our dietitian and dietary manager, Sarah and Rob, collaborate to design a seasonal 4-week menu rotation that’s both delicious and meets all requirements of the Child Nutrition Program through the Ohio Department of Education and USDA.

🍯 Tonight’s dinner? Pork loin with honey garlic glaze, roasted sweet potatoes, broccoli, and shortcake.

👩‍🍳 Together, Rob, Quincy, and Celine bring 60 years of kitchen experience, and Sarah adds 20 years as a pediatric dietitian.

🛒 A typical week’s shopping list includes 70 different items!

🌶️ Fan favorite dish: stuffed peppers!

Our Dietary Team does so much more than prepare meals — they bring care, comfort, and creativity to every plate. Thank you for all that you do!

🌟 Mission Monday: Meet Leslie! 🌟

This week we’re celebrating Leslie—or “Les,” as her family lovingly calls her!

Leslie has been part of our community for two years. She’s known for her strong sense of independence and her sweet, genuine smile that shines when she warms up to those around her.

Leslie loves to stay active and expressive—she enjoys rocking, clapping, and strumming her shoestrings like a guitar! You’ll often find her playing with her small piano or enjoying a peaceful car ride.

Just a couple of Fridays ago, Leslie joined in on our Luke 5 Adventures hike at French Park, where she seemed to truly enjoy being outside on a warm fall day. Her smile said it all! 🍂

Recently, Leslie has also been opening up more with her caregivers—sharing more smiles and clapping when she’s especially pleased. Her family says they’re thrilled with how much she enjoys her time at Saint Joe’s, especially when she’s in the pool!

Leslie, your independence and joyful spirit inspire us all. We’re so glad you’re part of our Saint Joe’s Community of Possibility. 🩵

Last week, we had an unforgettable day out at French Park with our friends at Luke 5 Adventures! 🥾With the incredible support of volunteers from Trupoint Financial Advisors, six of our residents and program participants were able to experience the beauty of the trails in a whole new way.

These hikes aren’t just about the fresh air—they’re about creating moments of joy, building community, and showing that adventure is for everyone. 🌿✨

A big thank-you to the Luke 5 team and our Trupoint volunteers for making this day possible. 💙
