Congratulations to Bernisha Smith from our Nights & Weekends BSN Program for being named Student of the Week!

Nominated by Program Chair Mary Page Dalrymple, Bernisha is recognized for consistently demonstrating the professionalism, integrity, teamwork, and compassion that define exceptional nursing care.

As a seasoned LPN, Bernisha brings valuable real-world experience into the classroom, helping bridge the gap between theory and practice while enriching discussions for both peers and faculty. Her dedication to lifelong learning, patient advocacy, and personal growth shines through in everything she does.

What stands out most is Bernisha’s commitment to supporting those around her. She leads with collaboration, honesty, and encouragement — creating a positive and professional learning environment for everyone in our nursing community.

Bernisha shared, “The BSN Nights and Weekends program has been the perfect fit for me as a working LPN, allowing me to continue advancing my education while balancing my professional responsibilities, caring for my mother at home, and spending time with my grandchildren.”

We have spirit, how ‘bout you?!

As a follow-up to last night’s Top Work Place celebration, where TCC was recognized for being in the top 5% for Work-Life Balance and Top 25% for Company Direction, we would love to share some of our happy faces who brought home the spirit award.

A huge thanks to our employees who participated in the Energage survey, a survey sent to thousands of companies across Greater Cincinnati. The Christ College earned 19th for Best Places to Work in the small business category based on pay, benefits, direction, leadership, meaningfulness, and appreciation… and did we mention we won the SPIRIT AWARD?

Now that’s something to cheer about!

An exciting evening for The Christ College of Nursing and Health Sciences! 🏆 ✨

We are proud to share that The Christ College was named one of Cincinnati’s Top Workplaces by The Cincinnati Enquirer and cincinnati.com!

Tonight’s celebration at the Hard Rock Casino was unforgettable as it kicked off with a TCC employee survey quote on the big screen to our very own Brad Jackson being called on stage for a musical showdown that had us cheering and laughing!

The fun didn’t stop there! The evening closed with TCC taking home the coveted SPIRIT AWARD! 📣

We’re especially honored to be recognized in the:

🌟 Student of the Week: Paul Roman 🌟

Please join us in celebrating Paul Roman, a student in our ABSN program, who was nominated by Biology Professor Joe Krumm for his outstanding character, academic excellence, and willingness to help others succeed.

“Paul finished with a solid A, but what primarily helped him stand out was his unselfish, giving nature to help classmates review and do the best they could,” shared Professor Krumm. “He would often stick around after class… reviewing and assisting others learn the content.”

Paul’s passion for science began in the biotech program at Loveland High School and continued through earning degrees in Biology and Bioscience Technology. Now, he’s bringing that strong academic background and people-first mindset into nursing.

“I chose the ABSN program at The Christ College because there is a guaranteed clinical placement and easy application process,” Paul said. “I really appreciate how attentive, thorough, and helpful the professors are here. I also like how the hospital is right next to the college.”

Congratulations, Paul! Your kindness, leadership, and dedication to helping others embody the spirit of nursing. 💙👏

Behind every cap and gown is a story of perseverance, late nights, clinicals, friendships, challenges overcome, and goals achieved. Watching the Class of 2026 take that final step across the stage was a reminder of the dedication and heart that brought them here.
