RN Instructor (DODD)
Independent Contractor Opportunity
Registered Nurses! A wonderful opportunity for certified RNs to teach DODD courses on a flexible basis! Teach Category 1, 2, and 3 initial and renewal classes in the Central Ohio area, and Cuyahoga County.
This is a great opportunity for DODD RN Instructors to supplement their current RN position, or for RN instructors who wish to work part-time and flexible hours for great pay.
Terrific position for the RN who has at least one year of experience in the DODD field. Preference given to applicants who are already DODD certified RN Trainers.
Essential Functions
Medication Administration Certification and Recertification
• Teach DODD approved Category 1: Medication Administration And Health-Related Activities training – both the initial certification and the renewal classes
• Teach DODD approved Category 2: Administration of Food And Prescribed Medication Per G and J Tube training - both the initial certification and the renewal classes
• Teach the Category 3: Subcutaneous Insulin Injection training - both the initial certification and the renewal classes
• Potential to teach CPR and First Aid certification classes
• With the assistance of the Academy MAIS Secretary, enter medication administration certified staff into the state database upon initial certification, or renew medication administration certification for each student in the state database.
• Travel to a variety of teaching locations is expected; there is the potential for overnight stays on occasion.
• Potential for additional hours, up to full-time employment.
Experienced and DODD Certified RN Instructors are preferred.
