Decades ago, a group of volunteers came together with a powerful vision—to build a place of care, comfort, and community. Today, that vision still thrives at Ohio Living Mount Pleasant.
One of those young volunteers was Roger Carter, who helped build our very first buildings in 1952 at just 13 years old. Now, all these years later, Roger is a resident—living in the community he helped create.

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Alyncia Bowen to the Ohio Living Board of Directors. Dr. Bowen brings over two decades of leadership and operations management experience in healthcare and higher education. She is Dean of the Ross College of Business at Franklin University, where she also serves as Chair of the Doctorate in Healthcare Administration Program and Director of the Global Center of Healthcare Education. Her experience and commitment to innovation will be invaluable as we continue to grow and serve our communities. Welcome, Dr. Bowen!

Every resident brings a unique story, and Pat is no exception. For the past six years, she has called Ohio Living Llanfair home, and we’ve been lucky to have her quick wit on campus. When asked what she enjoys most about living here, she reflected, “I love the other residents and friendly employees. I even have a fully equipped kitchen that I can cook in whenever I choose.
