I graduated from South Dakota State University with a Bachelor’s in Health, Physical Education and Recreation. I fell in love with yoga during my time there and leaned on my practice to keep positive and balanced as I worked as a corrections officer in the county jail. I continued my work as a corrections officer when I moved to Cincinnati and it made me realize the importance of how yoga was able to keep me true to the person I wanted to be. I am a certified group exercise instructor through Athletics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) and a 200 Hour Yoga Instructor with Yoga Alliance. I trained with the Cincinnati Yoga School through India to immerse myself in my yoga training. I also received my SomaVeda® Thai Yoga Therapy Level 2 Student Practitioner Certification in Costa Rica, where I learned how to use the whole person to treat the whole person. Thia Yoga Therapy is similar to massage but you are fully clothed and you are moved into deep assited yoga positions to access meridian lines so I can cover over 300 accumpressure points.
I have a passion for anything fitness related and have a special love for Yoga. I have been teaching since I graduated from college in 2012 and can’t wait to share my love and knowledge with you to help guide you through your own journey no matter what that looks like for you.
