Congrats to Jennifer Russo on her performance at the Dead Cow Gully backyard ultramarathon in Australia. She broke her personal record and ran 316 miles!

Jennifer has worked with in physical therapy for several years to keep her in top shape.

Backyard ultras are one of the fastest growing types of ultramarathon races, where runners complete a 4.1667-mile loop every hour, until only one runner remains!

Interested in trying one? Jennifer is also a local race director for , and their backyard ultra is on November 8 in Lebanon, OH. Check out EmpowerUltras.com for more details. They are also hosting a sold-out 100 mile race at East Fork on August 23 and could use volunteers.

“On April 5th, just a month out from the Flying Pig Marathon, I faced a major setback. A lingering foot injury flared up so badly that the next day I could barely walk—I had to crawl up the stairs. Running felt impossible, and I spent over a week in a walking boot. With race day quickly approaching, I feared my marathon dreams were slipping away.

That’s when I turned to Ryan and the team at Beyond Exercise. After just two visits, I was armed with a focused recovery plan, the right exercises, and—most importantly—renewed hope. Their guidance gave me the confidence to believe I could make it to the starting line.

On May 4th, not only did I run the Flying Pig Marathon—I ran a personal best, sub 3:00 and a Boston qualifying time. Without Beyond Exercise, that moment would’ve never happened.”
