☀️ Summer is here… and that means smiles are on display! 😄🦷

Did you know it’s not just candy and soda that can increase your risk for cavities? 🍬🦷

Sticky, starchy, and acidic foods can also affect your teeth by feeding bacteria, sticking to tooth surfaces, or weakening enamel over time.

Some common culprits include:
• Sports drinks and sweetened coffee
• Chips, crackers, and bread
• Dried fruit and gummy snacks
• Citrus fruits and sour candy
• Alcohol (which can cause dry mouth)

The good news? You don’t have to avoid these foods completely. Small habits can make a big difference:
✔ Enjoy sweets with meals instead of frequent snacking
✔ Limit sipping sugary or acidic drinks throughout the day
✔ Use a straw when possible
✔ Brush about 30 minutes after acidic foods/drinks
