💋 Setting Realistic Expectations for Lip Enhancement

One of the most important parts of any lip treatment is setting appropriate expectations. Often, clients come in with inspirational photos of someone else’s lips — but it’s important to remember that everyone’s anatomy is unique, and what works for one person may not be achievable in exactly the same way for another.

Being transparent about what we can and cannot do is key. This includes discussing:

- Your natural anatomy and how it affects the outcome

- The amount of product we’ll use

- Which techniques are best for your goals

- Realistic results for a natural, balanced look

In the example shown here, our client wanted more show of her top lip and more pronounced lower lip tubercles. We were able to enhance these areas while still keeping her lips natural and harmonious with her features. The results are subtle yet addressed her concerns beautifully — a perfect example of customized, realistic lip enhancement.

Tomorrow marks the closing of our West Side location — a place that holds so many memories, milestones, and meaningful connections. 💛

Over the past 3 years, we’ve had the honor of serving the West Side community, growing alongside our clients, and building relationships that truly feel like family. It’s bittersweet to say goodbye to a space that has given us so much — laughter, lessons, and love.

💋 Let’s Talk Lip Filler Misconceptions!

One of the biggest myths about lip filler is that “1 syringe is a lot.”
The truth? 1 syringe = 1-1.2 mL, which is about the size of a blueberry! 🍇

As you can see in this beautiful before-and-after photo, this client has just 1.2 mL of filler, and her results look soft, balanced, and natural. Lip filler doesn’t have to look “overdone”—it’s all about enhancing your natural shape and symmetry.

✨ Botox 101: What to Expect at Your First Appointment ✨

Thinking about Botox but not sure what to expect? Your first appointment is all about comfort, education, and achieving natural results. Here’s a little breakdown:

👉 Consultation First – We’ll start by chatting about your goals, areas of concern, and what results you’d like to see. I’ll explain how Botox works and make a plan tailored to you.

👉 The Treatment – Botox is placed with a few tiny injections in precise areas. Most people say it feels like little pinches and is over in just a few minutes.

👉 Aftercare – There’s no major downtime, but I’ll go over a few simple instructions (like avoiding heavy exercise right after). You’ll start to notice results within 3–5 days, with full effect at about 2 weeks.

👉 The Follow-Up – This part is so important! I always like my patients to return at the 2-week mark so I can check your results. This not only ensures you’re happy with your outcome, but also helps me be a better injector for you. I make clear notes for each visit so I can continue to fine-tune your treatment for future appointments.

💡 The before & after photos in this post are possible because my client came back for their 2-week follow-up. Not only does this help me as the provider, but it also allows clients to truly see the changes side by side.
